Sandpiper Cottage is a single-storey holiday home in a quiet cul-de-sac, and only a short stroll to the sandy dog-friendly beach. The cottage sleeps four people in two bedrooms, and has two bathrooms (one ensuite). Sandpiper is extremely spacious, and furnished to a high standard to ensure it is comfortable and welcoming for guests to enjoy a relaxing break all year round.
Trusthorpe, a peaceful little seaside village on the Lincolnshire coast, makes an excellent base for exploring the area’s many attractions, including the nearby coastal towns of Sutton on Sea and Chapel St. Leonards. The larger seaside town of Mablethorpe is within walking distance of Sandpiper, and Skegness is a short car ride away, both offering a variety of cafes, pubs, restaurants, supermarkets, shops, arcades and fun fairs for those looking for traditional family entertainment. There is also a 6-mile promenade linking Mablethorpe, Trusthorpe, Sutton-on-Sea and Sandilands for an exhilarating walk by the sea.
Also, within easy reach of Trusthorpe are the charming market towns of Louth, Alford, Horncastle and Spilsby; and the Lincolnshire Wolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with pretty little villages to discover, glorious unspoilt countryside and big skies to enjoy, and endless opportunities for walking and cycling. Nature lovers will enjoy visiting nearby Natureland Seal Sanctuary and Gibraltar point National Nature Reserve with trails for walkers and cyclists, accessible paths and an abundance of wildlife including skylarks, fieldfare and waders to name just a few.
For those who enjoy a round of golf, the popular resort town of Woodhall Spa is less than an hour away with its excellent fine dining restaurants, and superb golf courses. Other good courses close by are Seacroft (Links) GC (in the Top 100 UK golf courses) and Skegness North GC.
