Bobbin Mill Cottage comfortably sleeps four guests in two bedrooms and is a traditional Lakeland cottage sitting in the picturesque riverside hamlet of Starnthwaite Ghyll, a short drive from Windermere in the Lake District National Park. Whilst affording a relaxing setting, guests can enjoy easy access to all areas of the Lake District with its many attractions.
The cottage is under a mile and within easy walking distance of Crosthwaite village where you will find a church and the renowned popular pub, The Punch Bowl, serving excellent food. Sitting on the banks of the River Gilpin, Bobbin Mill Cottage provides a peaceful retreat, for those who want to simply relax and unwind in a beautiful setting, and yet is an ideal location for those who enjoy the outdoors.
The area is a haven for wildlife and there are a range of pleasant walks that can be enjoyed directly from the cottage, along with excellent cycling in the Lyth Valley along its pretty country lanes. Guests also benefit from having complimentary membership at the Damson Dene Leisure Club with swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna and gym.
Formerly a converted bobbin mill, this attractive holiday cottage affords the use of extensive landscaped gardens that surround the properties with lawns and benches where you can sit beside the cascading river and take in the views. There are also a number of traditional local pubs in nearby villages to satisfy all tastes. Windermere offers a variety of amenities including restaurants and bars, shops, cinema with a selection of visitor attractions and is just five miles from the cottage.

Bobbin Mill Cottage is well equipped and furnished, comprising:
Outside: There are large communal gardens that guests have the shared use of. There is parking for one car to the front of the cottage (other parking spaces nearby).
Additional information: The cottage has central heating, along with Wi-Fi and a payphone. Prices include bed linen, towels, heating and electricity, as well as membership of the local leisure club. Pets are welcome (two maximum) for an additional charge of £20 each. A high chair and travel cot (bedding not provided) are available to hire at a cost of £15 each. A low occupancy discount will be applied when the cottage is rented out for two guests only. Short breaks are available, usually outside the peak season (minimum of 4 nights) and bookings can be taken at short notice.
