Mickle Mear is a newly built cottage on the edge of Talkin Village with lovely open views to the Pennine fells and surrounding countryside. The cottage provides an ideal base for exploring the local area or a place for a relaxed countryside escape.
Talkin is a small village near the market town of Brampton (3 Miles) and located 10 miles from the City of Carlisle. The Blacksmiths Arms is a popular and traditional pub situated on the village green only a stones throw from Mickle Mear. The village provides a great starting point for numerous walking/cycling routes, including Talkin Tarn Country Park and England’s best kept secrets - Geltsdale and the Eden Valley.
Further afield the property is ideally situated for visits to Hadrian’s Wall, the Lake District, Northumberland National Park, the Solway Coast,South West Scotland and England’s highest town (Alston). The City of Carlisle is steeped in history, renowned for its Cathedral, Castle and old City Walls. Alongside this, the city provides excellent restaurants, bars and shopping facilities.

Pedestrian access to the driveway is required frequently by the owners and owners family, as this area allows entrance to the stable and field adjacent to the property.
