Ben's is a delightful self-catering holiday cottage in the Lizard Heritage Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). It is one of four welcoming holiday homes at Goongillings Farm, tucked away in a peaceful spot with a private garden and accommodation for four people in two bedrooms. You're within strolling distance of the friendly Trengilly Wartha pub, cafe, and the Constantine village shops. The layout is ideal for couples, families or friends, including those on holiday with a family in another of Goongillings' holiday cottages.
Goongillings Farm is 150 acres of gorgeous Cornish countryside with 25 acres of woodland and a private quay on the Helford River. It's wonderfully tranquil - the perfect antidote to the noise and pressure of a busy lifestyle. Sit in the garden and listen to the birds, walk around the farm and breathe in unpolluted air, go swimming in the quay at the end of the farm, bring your SUP or borrow a dinghy and explore a stretch of the river. The climate of the Lizard Peninsula is warmer than average, meaning that it's always a great time to visit.
Having the river and woodland on your doorstep means you don't have to leave the sanctuary of the cottage to have a wonderfully relaxing holiday. However, should you choose to go out and explore, you'll find places like Serpentine Rock, the Lizard Coastal Walk, and beaches like Kynance Cove waiting for you. The landscape is breathtaking, and those who want to learn more about it can do so at the Lizard Countryside Centre nearby in Trelowarren. Falmouth and Truro have an excellent variety of places to shop and eat and attractions including Pendennis Castle, Glendurgan Garden, Trebah Garden, Truro Cathedral, Healey's Cornish Cyder Farm, and the Royal Cornwall Museum. Flambards Theme Park is a short drive from the cottage, while Penzance and Land's End are around an hour away.
Cornwall has long been a favourite holiday destination for all ages and interests. The Lizard Peninsula has spectacular beaches, scenic rivers, picturesque countryside, pretty villages and historic towns. Ben's and Goongillings Farm are extremely convenient for everywhere while affording you the peace and privacy of a rural location.
