Cafes, shops and pubs are all a short walk from the house, which sleeps five people in three bedrooms.
Leyburn is a superb location for a self-catering holiday in Yorkshire. It's in picturesque Wensleydale with excellent amenities, including a small supermarket, a chocolatier, tea rooms, antique auctions, and a weekly market every Friday. It's a favourite with hikers for the wealth and diversity of the scenic footpaths, including one that follows the nearby River Ure to Aysgarth Falls and another to Leyburn Shawl. Mountain bikers and horse-riders are also spoiled for choice, with bridleways and multi-purpose trails offering breathtaking views in all seasons.
Local attractions include Bolton Castle, the magical gardens of The Forbidden Corner, and Constable Burton Hall. Drive half an hour into the national park to Hawes for the famous Wensleydale Creamery and the Dales Countryside Museum. There are bustling market towns, friendly villages, ancient pilgrimage sites, and a landscape as wondrous underground as it is above. Coddiwomple's convenient location and high standard of accommodation allow you to explore to your heart's content, returning to a place that feels like home at the end of every memorable day.
