Skylark Lodge is all about making holidays feel easy. It sleeps eight guests across four bedrooms and has a hot tub and games room. This spacious lodge has been designed with families, groups of friends and multi-generational holidays in mind, offering plenty of room to spend time together without everyone feeling on top of each other. Two separate lounges mean children can settle down with a film while the adults catch up over a glass of wine upstairs, and the large enclosed terrace with its private hot tub becomes a favourite gathering place long after the sun has gone down. Dogs are just as welcome as everyone else and stay free of charge, while thoughtful extras for babies and toddlers help families travel a little lighter. Guests also enjoy access to Retallack Resort's leisure facilities, including the swimming pool, gym and children's activities, adding even more choice to each day.
North Cornwall is packed with places that appeal to every generation, and Skylark Lodge sits within easy reach of many of them. Padstow's busy harbour is around 20 minutes away, where fishing boats share the waterfront with cafés, independent shops and seafood restaurants. The Camel Trail provides miles of traffic-free walking and cycling alongside the Camel Estuary, while nearby beaches such as Harlyn Bay, Constantine Bay, Trevone and Watergate Bay offer everything from surfing lessons and paddleboarding to rock pooling and long sandy walks with the dog. Camel Creek Family Adventure Park is only a few minutes away and is a favourite with younger visitors, while Padstow Sealife Safaris give families the chance to spot dolphins, seals and seabirds along the dramatic coastline. For anyone travelling with four-legged companions, many local beaches welcome dogs outside the busiest summer weeks, and there are plenty of year-round walking routes across the surrounding countryside.
There is far more to discover beyond the beaches. Wander the narrow streets of Port Isaac, visit the famous Eden Project, browse the galleries in St Ives or spend an afternoon exploring the grand house and gardens at Lanhydrock. The South West Coast Path reveals one spectacular view after another, while quieter inland villages provide welcoming country pubs and farm shops stocked with Cornish produce. After busy days exploring, returning to Skylark Lodge is part of the holiday. Fire up the barbecue, soak in the hot tub beneath the evening sky or simply enjoy having enough space for everyone to relax in their own way. Additional Information
WiFi, bed linen, towels, toiletries and a welcome hamper of Cornish produce are included. Up to two dogs are welcome at no extra charge, with dog bowls provided. Families travelling with young children can request a complimentary baby pack including a cot, highchair, stairgate, baby bath and other useful equipment. Resort facilities are available during your stay, with some activities carrying an additional charge. Private parking is available outside the lodge.
