Powered by the wind and sun, 'Primrose' is located at West Lampetho which is situated in South Cornwall in a rural position on the outskirts of the village of Tywardreath, just three miles from Fowey.
Formerly an agricultural barn, Primrose has been converted into a traditional with a contemporary feel, eco-friendly, three bedroom holiday home that can accommodate six guests.
The barn is surrounded by farmland and located twenty five meters from the owner's farmhouse, providing guests with a good degree of privacy whilst having the security of the owners being nearby should you need them.
The owners (Jim and Julia) aim has been to create a well-insulated, comfortable holiday home that takes advantage of the small-scale wind turbine that is located onsite, two hundred meters away from the barn. This clean, green source of renewable electricity combined with solar hot water makes the holiday home pretty much self-sufficient most of the time. All of the owners family are watersports enthusiasts and lovers of the great outdoor life that Cornwall has to offer and are delighted to offer assistance if requested in making your stay an enjoyable and memorable one.
The owners watersports experience can help you choose a suitable activity or course via close links with an established local windsurfing and sailing centre. There are some delightful walks in the area through beautiful rolling countryside or along the coastal path with spectacular sea views.
The local village of Tywardreath is just a mile away where you will find a superb pub serving great food, fish and chip take-away shop (which also offers Thai food), an excellent butchers that has won awards and a local store where you can stock up on provisions. Trenython Manor is also within walking distance of the barn (just five minutes) with a bar and restaurant.
The area provides plenty of attractions for all ages and energy levels. The Eden Project, near to the town of St Austell is just fifteen minutes away and the Lost Gardens of Heligan is also nearby. The popular picturesque town of Fowey is just three miles away and well known for its breathtaking scenery, natural harbour, sailing and good selection of restaurants, pubs and interesting shops.
The beaches locally are within easy reach with Polkerris being just two miles, Par is a mile, Readymoney Cove in Fowey is three miles, as well as an abundance of other coves and sandy bays accessible via the South West Coastal Path. There is a local bus service at the bottom of the lane, allowing you to leave the car back at the Barn if you wish.
On a final note, explore the old mines, viaduct and Ponts Mill tramways in the picturesque Luxulyan Valley, and St Austell with its China Clay Museum to learn about the history.

Outside: There is a parking area for two cars, an enclosed private courtyard garden area with a patio and a grass area where you can enjoy the beautiful sunsets. A BBQ is also provided.
Additional information: For guests comfort, both bathrooms have towel rails and underfloor heating. 100% cotton towels and linen are provided. A cot, highchair and buggy can be provided if required by prior arrangement with the owner. No smoking permitted and unfortunately no pets.
