If you are still unsure whether Looe is an ideal holiday destination for all seasons, then the stunning views from the balcony at Highwood will help convince you. The cottage is in walking distance of the beach and can comfortably sleep up to six people in three bedrooms, including two on the ground floor, so it is ideal for families and friends.
One of the best features of Highwood, apart from the view of Looe Island, is its proximity to the South West Coast Path from which you can reach Looe in a relaxing twenty-minute stroll. Alternatively, the vibrant seaside town is only a ten-minute drive, providing you with a fantastic array of places to shop, eat and drink, as well as favourite attractions like The Monkey Sanctuary. Even closer are the beaches at Plaidy and Millendreath, which are only five minutes walk from the front door. Your holiday itinerary can include everything from cliff-top walks to coasteering, cycling, crabbing from the quay, exploring rock pools at low tide, a sightseeing boat tour, and a friendly round of golf.
South East Cornwall is full of great attractions. A few miles from Looe, the fishing town of Polperro has an interesting local museum with exhibits about not only the region's fishing history but also that of the smuggler's who made excellent use of the coastline's hidden coves and caves to store their ill-gotten booty. Fowey and Polkerris are also within easy reach, and the countryside is liberally sprinkled with friendly towns and villages linked by footpaths and cycle routes that make it easy to explore. Good roads and a train station link Looe to Liskeard from where you can reach Plymouth, St Ives, Penzance and Truro.
Highwood is close to favourite attractions and amenities yet far enough away that the influx of summer visitors will not mar the peace. The layout and decor make it simple to relax and enjoy spending time with family and friends, offering everything you want in a self-catering cottage in Cornwall.

Outside: Highwood has a private garden with mature plants and a wooden deck with garden furniture and a barbecue. There is off-street parking for up to three cars and secure bike storage in the garage (lockable) where the tumble dryer is located.
Additional Information: All utilities, linen and bath towels are provided. Guests to provide beach towels and cot bedding if they are required. Short breaks are possible outside of high season, depending on availability. No pets. No smoking.
