About Weavers Rest

Welcome to Weavers Rest – your cosy Skipton hideaway

Set on a quiet street just off the heart of central Skipton, Weavers Rest is a beautifully restored, ground-floor boutique apartment in a Victorian townhouse (circa 1850). Perfect for a romantic break or a restful base for exploring Yorkshire, it offers a blend of stylish comfort and characterful touches. With a super-king bed (which can also be configured as twin beds), a stylish living area and a luxurious bathroom, this one-bedroom retreat accommodates up to two guests. The property also includes a secluded courtyard garden, secure bike storage a private parking space — a rare find so close to all that Skipton has to offer.

Step outside your door, and you’re just a minute’s walk from Skipton’s vibrant market square, full of independent shops, cafés, bars and restaurants. Explore the town, meander along the Leeds & Liverpool Canal, or visit the medieval Skipton Castle with its peaceful woodland walks. The compact layout of the town means you can leave the car and explore on foot. The bus stops and railway station (with connections to Leeds, Bradford, Lancaster and more) are also within easy walking distance, making Weavers Rest a great choice whether you arrive by car or public transport.

Venturing a little further afield, you are perfectly placed to explore the Yorkshire Dales, the rolling hills and valleys just beyond Skipton. Whether you head north to Bolton Abbey, up to the rugged landscapes of Malham and the Three Peaks, or eastwards across to the Yorkshire Dales National Park, there’s so much to discover. For day trips, visit the scenic beauty of Bolton Abbey, the dramatic moors around Ilkley, or the market towns of Settle and Grassington. After your day’s adventures, return to the quiet cosiness of Weavers Rest to unwind.

Weavers Rest Layout

Lounge / Kitchen

The apartment’s living and kitchen area is open-plan, beautifully designed and well equipped. The kitchen boasts shaker-style grey units, quartz worktops, and a full range of appliances — induction hob, oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, kettle, coffee machine and all the cookware you’ll need. A breakfast bar offers casual dining and includes USB charging points and a wireless charger. The lounge area offers comfortable seating, a handcrafted oak bay window seat with atmospheric lighting, a large Amazon Fire smart TV, DVD player, Bluetooth speaker/radio, and fast Wi-Fi. The space is warm, inviting and thoughtfully laid out for relaxation.

Bedroom

Light and airy, the bedroom has two windows to let in natural light. The super-king bed (which can be separated into singles) ensures comfort and flexibility. There’s a dressing table with mirror, hanging space, and a hairdryer available. The décor is stylish and aims to create a restful retreat after a day of exploration.

Bathroom

The bathroom is a contemporary haven. It includes a walk-in shower, a freestanding bath, a toilet, and a sink unit. One of its most striking features is the restored Inglenook fireplace framing the heated towel radiator — a nod to the building’s heritage. There's a back-lit mirror with shaver point and attention to finishes throughout that lend a sense of luxury.

Outside & Parking

Weavers Rest includes a private courtyard garden furnished with seating — perfect for morning coffee or an evening drink outdoors. There is secure bike for guests. The property also offers one private parking space in a car park right next to the entrance — a rare and convenient feature in this central location.

Other features & practicalities

  • Heating is via gas central heating, and the apartment is well insulated to keep you cosy in cooler months.
  • Bed linen, towels, and initial supplies (tea, coffee, milk, sugar, toilet rolls, dishcloth, sponge, dishwasher tablets) are all provided.
  • Unlimited fast Wi-Fi, and access to Amazon Prime on the smart TV, enhance your stay.
  • The unit is not suitable for wheelchair users or wide pushchairs (due to some constraints in layout).
