Moorside Farm Holiday Cottage, Near Grassington, Yorkshire Dales
Wake up to sweeping views across the Yorkshire Dales, step straight onto beautiful footpaths from your cottage front door.
Nestled in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, just two miles from the bustling market town of Grassington, Moorside Farm Holiday Cottage is a spacious stone farmhouse sleeping up to eight guests in four comfortable bedrooms. Whether you're planning a family holiday, celebrating a special occasion or escaping with friends, you'll find space to relax, make memories and enjoy one of England's most spectacular landscapes.
The cottage has been lovingly restored to combine traditional Yorkshire character with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Large windows frame uninterrupted views towards Simon's Seat and Burnsall fell, while every room has been thoughtfully prepared to feel like a true home from home. Dogs are welcome too, because holidays are even better when the whole family can come along.
One of the things guests love most is leaving the car behind. From the front door, footpaths lead across fields and alongside the River Wharfe to Burnsall, Appletreewick, Simon's Seat and countless walking and cycling routes through the Yorkshire Dales. Whether you're looking for a gentle riverside stroll or a full day on the fells, your adventure begins the moment you step outside. As owners who have spent a lifetime exploring the dales, we are always happy to recommend and tailor walks to suit your interests, abilities and the time you have available. Helping you discover many places visitors never find!
Just a few minutes away, Grassington is full of independent shops, cafes, traditional pubs and galleries. Fans of All Creatures Great and Small will instantly recognise its picturesque market square, which has become the fictional village of Darrowby in the much-loved television series. Visit on the third Sunday of the month to enjoy the popular Farmers' Market, showcasing some of Yorkshire's finest local produce.
Moorside Farm is perfectly placed for discovering the very best of the Yorkshire Dales. Explore the dramatic limestone scenery of Malham Cove and Gordale Scar, wander through the historic grounds of Bolton Abbey, visit Kilnsey Park, enjoy the peaceful beauty of Parcevall Hall Gardens or spend the day browsing the shops and cafes of Skipton, Harrogate or Ripon.
After a day exploring, return to the peace and comfort of Moorside Farm. Watch the evening light settle over the fells, gather around the table with family and friends, and enjoy the kind of Yorkshire holiday you'll be talking about long after you've returned home.
