Littondale Cottage is a spacious and welcoming home away from home for up to 14 guests. Tucked into the quiet and unspoilt valley of Littondale in the Yorkshire Dales National Park with six en-suite bedrooms and generous living areas, it's perfect for extended families or groups of friends wanting to escape to the countryside. The cottage is just a short stroll from the traditional village of Litton, where you'll find the much-loved Queens Arms pub – a 17th-century inn known for its roaring fires, real ales, and hearty food. Surrounded by rolling hills and breathtaking walking routes, the cottage offers a relaxing base in one of the Dales' most peaceful spots.
Despite its tranquil setting, Littondale is well connected to some of the Yorkshire Dales' best-loved attractions. A couple of miles away is the village of Arncliffe, the filming location of All Creatures Great & Small. Grassington, just a short drive away, hosts an annual summer music and arts festival, as well as a popular Dickensian Christmas market. Walkers are spoilt for choice. With the 3 peaks and Pennine Way nearby there are plenty of routes leading through limestone gorges, wildflower meadows, and along the River Skirfare. The area is also a cyclist's dream, with quiet country lanes and some challenging climbs featured in the Tour de Yorkshire.
Further afield, you'll find plenty to explore in every direction. Malham Cove and Gordale Scar are within easy reach, offering some of the most dramatic scenery in the Dales. The bustling market town of Skipton, with its historic castle, canal walks and regular farmers' markets, makes for a great day out. For something truly unique, visit Kilnsey Park Estate for fly fishing, pony trekking or a close-up view of rare-breed animals. Whether you're here for walking, sightseeing or simply sitting in the garden with a glass of wine, Littondale Cottage puts you at the heart of this beautiful national park.
