High Greenfield Cottage is in a truly rural location situated in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales National Park in Langstrothdale. You have walking and cycling routes right outside the doorstep. Situated in a managed forest where more public access has been recently created so you really can enjoy and appreciate the great outdoors.
This cottage is in an excellent location and so lucky that we have Red Squirrels visit us on a regular basis, especially in the warmer months. Sadly, we cannot guarantee you will see one when you visit. We have lots of wildlife in the area, Barn Owls, Herons, Swallows, other birds of prey and even the Northern Lapwing which has its strange call.
A base to really explore the Yorkshire Dales weather you are going to explore the Wensleydale Creamery in Hawes (20 minutes away) or the Grassington market town (40 minutes away). There is so much to explore here you must come and visit.
This location is less than 2 miles from the Pennine Way route or 3 miles from the Dales way route. You are not far from the three peaks, as the crow flies it is 5.5 miles from Ingleborough, 3.7 miles from Pen-y-ghent and 5.9 miles from Whernside.
Right outside your front door step you can enjoy the immediate countryside and the local forest where public access has been created creating more areas for you to enjoy the local environment and wildlife.

Accommodation
The cottage may have been built in early 1800's but its been renvated to a high standard I think you will find comfortable and have everything you need to make your stay comfortable and cosy.
The cottage is semi detached with the owners so we are on hand if you need anything
The cottage's heating and hot water is heated with a biomass boiler which uses wood pellets as its fuel.
