Stone walls, beams and the roaring fire lets you know you are somewhere special, whilst great local produce and quality restaurants make sure you'll never be short of great meals and good company.
Soak up the summer evenings or gaze at the clear, pollution free night skies in the traditional cottage garden. Dine or relax in the spacious, stylish Garden Room, complete with its wood burning stove and Bose sound system. Enjoy the wood-burning stoves and Bose systems in both the cottage and garden room, a Nespresso machine with complimentary pods, internet enabled TV and high-speed broadband together with a welcome hamper containing local homemade goodies.
With walks straight from the door, from a stroll to the Black Swan Pub for diner, a visit to the mysterious Druid’s Temple or the 1.4 miles to Masham, with its large medieval market square, surrounded by beautiful Georgian architecture, pubs, fine dining restaurants, quirky shops and galleries, twice weekly markets and two breweries, you will never be stuck for things to do.
The nearby Swinton Estate offers everything from luxury Spa days, clay pigeon shooting, fishing, falconry and cookery school to traditional afternoon teas and contemporary dining in the Terrace Restaurant. This traditional stone worker’s cottage, has been lovingly restored, retaining quirky features and wonky floors, inglenook fireplaces, exposed beams and original stonework.

Outside: Large stylish Garden Room with dining and sitting area, wood burning stove and Bose Bluetooth Speaker. An enclosed garden, small courtyard with an outside dining area leading to a beautiful cottage garden with additional seating, the perfect place to watch the sun go down over the Dales.
Additional information: Short breaks of 3 nights, beginning on a Friday or 4 nights, beginning on a Monday are available. Prices include heating, linen, electricity, towels and wood. A selection of locally produced goodies will be waiting to welcome you. There is an EV recharge point situated 0.5 miles away from the cottage at Swinton Estate Spa. So, all you need do is arrive, relax and let Hideaway Cottage work its magic.
