Green View Cottage is a picturesque Yorkshire stone holiday cottage opposite Bainbridge village green. Any family seeking an authentic Yorkshire Dales experience will love this welcoming property, recently refurbished to offer 5-Star Gold standard self-catering accommodation sleeping six people in three bedrooms. You're barely three-minutes from the 15th Century Rose and Crown, where they have been serving locally brewed ale to travellers since 1445. Three minutes in the opposite direction is A Taste of Wensleydalele Bakery, where you can buy freshly baked bread, and enjoy delicious cakes and other goodies to fuel your walks around the village and across the moors.
Bainbridge is a friendly community with a long history. Located where the River Bain meets the Ure, it was a strategic settlement for the Romans, who called it Virosidum, loosely translated as "settlement of true (meaning Roman) men". Cross the River to Brough Hill to see their fort's remains, then continue along the Roman road heading south from the village to Stake Fell and the hills between Wensleydale and Wharfdale. The second biggest natural lake in Yorkshire, Sermerwater, is 2.5 miles from the cottage and a popular spot for walking and cycling as well as fishing, windsurfing, sailing, canoeing, and wild swimming.
Places to visit on a day out include the famous Wensleydale Creamery and the Dales Countryside Museum, both four miles away in Hawes. Bolton Castle, Kirkby Stephen, Richmond, Kirkby Lonsdale, and Settle are all under an hour's drive from Green View Cottage, while York is around 90 minutes away. Aysgarth Falls are an impressive sight, or perhaps you'd prefer the hidden secrets of The Forbidden Corner.
Green View Cottage, with its 5 star interior and beautiful terraced back garden is a favourite with couples and families, including those with dogs, providing lovely views, and access to scenic walks and cycling routes. With excellent family-friendly attractions within a few miles, you'll always find plenty to do during your stay.

Outside: The owners have added a large timber deck with raised flowerbeds, a barbecue, and an outdoor dining table and chairs. The garden is enclosed to be safe for children and dogs.
Additional Information: Utilities, WiFi, bed linen and towels are provided. Dogs are welcome by arrangement. The cottage is a non-smoking property.
