Eastfield Farm Holiday Cottage sleeps up to six guests and is located on a working farm in East Yorkshire between Thornton and Melbourne, just thirteen miles from York city centre.
Thornton nestles amongst open countryside and the village of Melbourne is approximately one mile away with a village shop for stocking up on provisions and a pub which serves nice food. Nearby Allerthorpe (just two miles) also has a pub serving meals and there is a water park within walking distance and a golf course nearby.
The local town of Pocklington is the gateway to the Yorkshire Wolds and has a large variety of shops, tea rooms, restaurants and bars, along with a glider club/leisure centre and golf club.
Eastfield Farm Cottage is only a short walk away from the local canal where you will see a wide variety of wildlife. You can enjoy a leisurely walk along the towpath to Pocklington or in the other direction to Melbourne where canal boat rides can be organised to explore the waterway.
For those who want to explore the wider area, the cottage is a short twenty minute drive into the historic city of York with numerous tourist attractions for all ages including the Minster, Castle Museum and the popular Jorkvik Viking Centre. The attractive market town of Beverley is also within easy reach and offers a good selection of places to eat, shops, a spectacular minster and a racecourse on the outskirts of town. For those who want to enjoy a day be the sea, the East Coast is around forty five minutes by car and outdoor enthusiasts may want to visit Dalby forest (one hour by car) which has many activities including Go-Ape or a short drive to Flamingo land for a fun family day out.

An evening meal can be organised for the first night at an additional cost. No smoking inside. Children welcome and one dog accepted.
