Winterton Cottage is a pretty stone holiday cottage in West Wales, close to the Pembrokeshire National Park and the beautiful harbour town of Solva. It comfortably sleeps four people in two bedrooms, with a double sofa-bed that can increase the accommodation to six guests with ease to make it perfect for everyone from couples to families and friends.
No words can honestly describe the natural beauty of Pembrokeshire. Imagine beaches of soft white sand and clear blue water, miles of traffic-free footpaths and cycleways, and welcoming towns and villages and you are only half-way there. The nearest town to Winterton Cottage is Solva, with its picturesque harbour, excellent cafes and welcoming pubs, and good variety of places to shop. Two of the main reasons people come to Pembrokeshire are for the beaches and the coastal footpath, both of which are just a short drive from the cottage. Within five minutes you can be stretched out on Whitesands Bay or Newgale Beach, two of the areas popular beaches not only for swimming but other water-sports like surfing and kiteboarding.
The Pembrokeshire Coast Path National Trail runs for 186 miles around the entire coast of Pembrokeshire, offering spectacular views at any time of year. It is one of the best ways to enjoy the magnificent scenery for which Pembrokeshire is famous. The path is broken into different sections with a handy Coastal Bus service making it possible to walk a stretch then get a lift back to where you started. Alternatively, head inland and enjoy walking or cycling through the beauty of the Preseli Hills.
St David's population of just 1,600 people makes it feel more like a large village than the city that it technically is, thanks to the spectacular cathedral around which it is built. St Davids has a thriving community of artists and a wide choice of places to eat and drink. Only six miles from Winterton Cottage, it is a great place to spend a few hours sightseeing, browsing galleries and enjoying a leisurely lunch.
Pembrokeshire offers a variety of sights and activities for all ages, ranging from the Scolton Manor Estate to Llys Y Fran Country Park, Oakwood Theme Park and Folly Farm. There are boat trips, surfing schools, fishing and golf courses, while more adventurous guests can book a session of coasteering or sea kayaking.
Winterton is one of three fantastic self-catering cottages in Pembrokeshire which are owned and run by the same family. They have created a haven where families and friends can relax and enjoy facilities that include a heated indoor swimming pool, barbecue cabin and play area. Winterton Cottage is a traditional cottage with rooms over two levels. The owners have carefully restored it to a high standard to provide 4-Star accommodation that is both child and dog-friendly.

Outside: Winterton has a gravel courtyard (kettle BBQ provided) with an enclosed lawned area at the side and a paved patio at the rear. There is a rotary clothes-line, picnic table and log store. Guests also have use of the shared areas which include a barbecue cabin, children's play area and indoor swimming pool. Car park available (you can pull-up outside the cottage to off-load).
Additional Information: All utilities, WiFi, sheets and bath towels are provided, with guests to bring beach towels if they are required. A stairgate, high chair and cots are available. Up to two well-behaved dogs are welcome with prior agreement from the owner. Short breaks are possible outside of school holidays, depending on availability. Smoking is not permitted.
