Goldfinch Cottage is a welcoming holiday cottage near Bamburgh. Large enough to sleep six people in three bedrooms with features that include a fireplace with a log burner, an optional outdoor hot tub, and a beauty spa and health club within a short walk of your cottage. It's perfect for a self-catering holiday with family or friends. Each is private and completely self-contained. You can book together to accommodate extended families, groups of friends, and guests for your wedding or another celebration event. The location is as lovely as the holiday home. It's delightfully rural yet within a short walk of the Apple Inn pub in Lucker and three miles from Bamburgh and the spectacular Northumberland Coast AONB. Goldfinch is an excellent example of the high standard of all properties in the Stablewood Coastal Cottages portfolio.
Bamburgh is best known for its incredible Norman castle that perches on a craggy hill above the beach, but that's not all the pretty coastal town offers. Bamburgh has a great choice of independent shops and businesses that take care of all your self-catering needs, whether you're cooking at the cottage or dining out. Other Bamburgh attractions include St Aiden's Church, the Grace Darling Museum, a golf course, and miles of stunning white sandy shoreline. Suppose nothing excites you more than an old building. In that case, you'll be over the moon to be so close to Alnwick Castle (known to fans of Harry Potter as Hogwarts), Chillingham Castle, Cragside, Dunstaburgh Castle, and National Trust Lindisfarne. You're also close to the Scottish border and Hadrian's Wall.
There is no better way to experience the sublime beauty of the Northumberland landscape than by immersing yourself in it. Whether you want to see it on foot, by bicycle or on horseback, you'll find a vast network of footpaths, bridleways and cycling routes to help you explore. Follow Hadrian's Wall to Steel Rigg and Crag Lough, or wander along the coast from Craster to Low Newton passing Dunstanburgh Castle. The Cheviots are another excellent choice for a day out, and there are more paths and family-friendly mountain bike routes at Kielder Water and Forest Park.

Outside: The cottage has a enclosed garden with a picnic bench and a barbecue. There is off-site parking nearby.
Additional Information: You'll only need to bring food, beach towels, and cot bedding when you stay at Goldfinch cottage. WiFi, utilities, logs, bed linen and bath towels are all included. An outdoor hot tub is an optional extra. Two well-behaved dogs are welcome. Smoking on the site is not permitted.
