Bullfinch Cottage is a dog-friendly Northumberland holiday cottage with a hot tub, space for six people to sleep in three bedrooms, and lots of room for families to relax. Massive arched windows and beautiful rural views add to its appeal for a self-catering break, as does the log burner in the living room and the outdoor hot tub. It's one of the superb properties in the Stablewood Coastal Cottage collection in the Northumberland village of Lucker, within walking distance of The Apple Inn pub and The School House cafe. As well as fun holidays with families and friends, the cottages have hosted reunions and family Christmases, and have even provided accommodation for wedding guests.
Lucker is a friendly village three miles from Bamburgh, between the coast and the Northumberland National Park. It's perfect for all seasons, with spectacular views on the doorstep. There is an excellent choice of footpaths, mountain bike trails, and cycling routes, including the 120-mile Sandstone Way between Berwick-Upon-Tweed and Hexham, family-friendly off-road trails in Kielder Forest, and the spectacular Coast and Castles route. That's not to mention the miles of sandy shoreline and country lanes to explore on foot or horseback.
Northumberland's tumultuous history is easily evident in places like Holy Island Lindisfarne, one of the earliest centres of Christianity in Britain with an impressive castle and a past featuring Viking invasion. Hadrian's Wall spans 73 miles on what was then the border between Roman-ruled England and the place they called Caledonia. Bamburgh Castle and Alnwick Castle have seen their fair share of strife, though they are now family homes and popular tourist attractions. Other activities can include a sightseeing boat tour to the Farne Islands, crossing the causeway to Holy Island at Low Tide, shopping in Bamburgh, fishing, golf, or outdoor activities through Adventure Northumberland in Alnwick. There is also a beauty spa and health club within a short walk of your cottage.

Outside: Guests love the enclosed garden with its masonry barbecue, outdoor table and chairs, and optional hot tub. There is parking next to the cottage.
Additional Information: Well-behaved dogs are welcome by arrangement. A travel cot and high chair are available on request. WiFi, utilities, bed linen and bath towels are included with the rental. All cottages on site are non-smoking.
