The Apple House sleeps two and is an ideal retreat for couples who are looking to explore the North York Moors and its many attractions.
This charming holiday cottage is one of four of my self-catering properties that are ideally placed in a tranquil setting on the glorious coastline of the North Yorkshire Moors National Park - perfect for visiting the many attractions of both the Heritage Coast and Moors, dotted with bustling market towns and picturesque villages just waiting to be discovered.
Nestling in extensive grounds of an acre and a half, the cottages are perfect for couples and larger groups of up to twelve guests individually, as well as larger parties of up to nineteen when the four properties are rented together.
Perfectly placed between the quaint coastal village of Staithes and the pretty fishing village of Runswick Bay (both one mile away) the cottages are located in Port Mulgrave. Staithes is a beautiful scenic seaside village which is very popular with photographers, artists and tourists. It has much to offer with a good selection of restaurants, cafes and pubs as well as antique, gift and craft shops. A delight at any time of the year, Staithes has much character with its cobbled streets that wind their way down to the sandy beach and rock pools where children (and adults!) love to play and relax.
Runswick Bay, a picture-postcard village is also just a stone's throw away and attracts many visitors year on year with its little cottages that appear to tumble down the cliffside to the lovely beach and seafront below.
Positioned within the North Yorkshire Moors National Park, this is a great place for those who enjoy walking with both dramatic rugged moorland walks and spectacular cliff-top footpaths on offer. The Cleveland Way Coastal Footpath is easily accessible and just a few minutes away, or explore the lovely countryside footpaths straight from the front door.
For those who want to venture a little further afield, Sandsend, Whitby, Scarborough and Robin Hood’s Bay are all within easy reach.
