Dalby is the largest of our Gold Award winning cottages at High Oaks Grange, offering three en-suite bedrooms and sleeping up to six guests. It is the ideal size to accommodate larger families or groups looking for a relaxing short break in the North York Moors. Dalby has a large enclosed garden, a luxurious private hot tub, and is dog-friendly.
Inside Dalby Cottage
You enter Dalby Cottage through a light and airy porch with seating for two, plus plenty of space for coats, boots and other essentials. The focal point of Dalby is the spacious open plan living and dining area, with a large kitchen and adjacent island, dining table with chairs, a comfortable lounge area, beautiful vaulted ceilings, and picture windows overlooking the central courtyard.
Continuing down the hallway you will find the three en-suite bedrooms. The master bedroom features a super-king size bed, dressing area, and an en-suite with bath and shower. The second bedroom offers bespoke, full-size bunk beds, and due to the high ceilings in the property these are suitable for adults or children. An en-suite with shower completes the room. The third bedroom is a twin room with two single beds and an en-suite shower room. Throughout High Oaks Grange you will find luxury Hypnos mattresses in every bedroom, ensuring plenty of peaceful sleep. Your bed linen, towels, bathrobes and slippers are all provided.
As with all our cottages, Dalby Cottage includes all the comforts you will require during a luxurious self-catering break. All guests receive a welcome hamper on arrival, and all kitchen utensils, crockery and glassware are provided. Along with all the standard amenities, the kitchen also features a wine cooler, dishwasher, and a washer dryer.
Entertainment For All
We have the whole family covered with the smart entertainment system in Dalby Cottage, and you can always stay connected to our high speed WiFi. Simply pop in the password and connect your devices, ready to post holiday snaps, watch a movie, or plan tomorrow’s adventure.
In the lounge you will find a 40” LCD Smart TV with Google Chromecast, bringing thousands of movies, live sport* and catch up TV to your fingertips. All bedrooms in Dalby Cottage have wall-mounted Smart TVs, for those lazy mornings you can enjoy on holiday.
Outside Dalby Cottage
Dalby Cottage offers an enclosed patio garden with outdoor seating and BBQ, perfect for al fresco dining. At the end of a long day of sightseeing and holiday fun, you can spend time in your own private hot tub and let your body relax and recuperate. The hot tub is optimally heated to around 38 degrees: slightly higher than the average core body temperature, which has a naturally therapeutic effect on the body.
Parking is available for two cars at the cottage, and further parking is available onsite if needed.
Dog Friendly
We know how much fun it is to bring your dog on holiday with you, and with miles of stunning Yorkshire countryside on our doorstep, Dalby Cottage is the perfect place for a dog friendly short break. Dogs are charged £8.00 per night per dog. We provide bowls for your dog during your stay, and also some treats. Holiday collar tags with our contact details on are available from reception, for you to use during your stay. Dalby can accommodate a maximum of three dogs.

High Oaks Grange is a fabulous collection of 5* Cottages, Contemporary Lodges, Woodland Lodges and Glamping Pods located on our 60-acre estate in the North York Moors national park. High Oaks Grange is only 1 mile from picturesque Thornton le Dale and the market town of Pickering. You will find country pubs, cafes and restaurants in both towns.
There is so much to do in this fabulous area of Yorkshire including the North York Moors Railway, Dalby Forest, Flamingo Land, Castle Howard, Eden Camp and of course the North York Moors National Park. Further afield we are only 30 minutes from the beautiful Yorkshire Coast and the historic city of York ... there are amazing places and attractions to visit during your stay with us.
High Oaks Grange is the ideal place for a dog friendly short break with miles of stunning Yorkshire countryside on our doorstep, plus a 20 acre field on the estate to exercise your pets!
