Rose Cottage is a character stone holiday cottage with original features including exposed beams. The cottage is nicely furnished and benefits from having an open fire in the living room, making it ideal for a holiday at any time of the year. In the winter you can enjoy cosy nights in by the fire and in the summer enjoy relaxing in the mature enclosed garden with furniture and barbecue provided.
The Cottage is quietly situated in the corner of the village of Piercebridge. It is within an enclosed garden which is lovely for sitting out on summers day and secure for those with children or a dog.
The village is located on the River Tees and just minutes from the cottage you can enjoy walks along the river side. Within the village is a pub serving meals; an organic farm shop with a tea room and The George Hotel Restaurant and pub which overlooks the river and serves meals - all just a short stroll from the cottage. As well as the organic farm shop there is also a local newsagent and grocer within one to two miles in the village of Gainford.
Rose Cottage is well located for visiting a variety of places including Raby Castle, Bowes Museum, High Force and the small market towns of Richmond and Barnard Castle. There are many beautiful areas to explore and walks to enjoy in the local dales of Teesdale, Swaledale and Weardale. The Lake District, Durham with its castle, the Metro Centre and the City of York are also within easy reach.
Whether you are looking for a family holiday or a relaxing break for two, Rose Cottage is an ideal holiday destination.
