Tremorna has everything you could wish for in a waterside retreat and is an attractive ancient fisherman's cottage in an exceptional position sitting above Helford Creek in Cornwall. A much loved holiday home by the same family for five decades, Tremorna sleeps up to six guests in three bedrooms and affords fabulous views down the Helford Estuary from most rooms (the pictures speak for themselves!). It sits in an unspoilt part of Cornwall and has a hidden waterside garden with water frontage leading down to the tidal beach and private quay (accessible by kayak, canoe or boat at high tide); offers guests off-road parking for up to two cars (a bonus in a popular Cornish village like Helford!); and has a village shop and good pub a short stroll away.
Whether you want to explore the many attractions of West Cornwall or simply relax and unwind, Tremorna offers all the right ingredients. The Helford River is one of Europe's most ecologically rich and picturesque estuaries, and a haven for wildlife with excellent opportunities for those who enjoy being on or around water. Spend your days paddling the river exploring the creeks, cliffs, wooded areas and little coves, walk to one of the nearby beaches or relax in the hidden terraced waterside garden at the front of the cottage (just a few steps across the little lane) - a lovely place for breakfast or a glass of wine at the end of the day.
For those who can tear themselves away from the beauty of Helford itself, all parts of the picturesque Lizard Peninsula are easily reachable by car in approximately twenty minutes and the famous gardens of Glendurgan (National Trust) and Trebah are accessible via a short and enjoyable ferry ride.
Full of character, the owners have preserved the traditional features of the cottage such as an open fire and thick cob walls, and enhanced them with modern conveniences including WiFi internet access and a kitchen well equipped for self-catering. The cottage has a lovely calming comfortable feel whether you are relaxing by the fire on a chilly night or alfresco dining watching the ever changing panorama unfold in front of your eyes.
Enjoying one of the best positions in Helford village, Tremorna is a great choice for families, friends and also couples who like a little extra space and a superb location (one well-behaved dog also welcome!). A truly magical unspoilt oasis of calm ideal for walking, boating, kayaking, swimming and generally relaxing and having fun on the water.

Tremorna sleeps up to six guests (one dog welcome by arrangement) and has fabulous views from most rooms. Traditional in layout, living is on the ground floor and the bedrooms are upstairs.

Outside: There is a large secluded waterside terrace garden at the front of the cottage, accessible over the little lane. The garden has trees for shade, a lawn, summer house (where the BBQ is stored), outdoor seating and access to the beach and creek via the private quay at high tide (perfect for putting in a kayak or canoe with mooring also available by prior agreement with the owner).
Additional information: Beds are made up ready for arrival with crisp cotton bed linen (guests are requested to bring towels including bath and beach towels - tea towels are provided). Off-road parking for two cars. Prices include heating, electricity and bed linen.
