Parc Drae Holiday Bungalow is a well-kept, single-storey holiday cottage in the centre of the Cornish village of Stithians, offering comfortable self-catering accommodation for two. Originally built as a granny annexe, the bungalow has its own entrance and off-road parking and feels pleasantly self-contained, while benefiting from owners who live next door and take real care over how the property is run. Guests often comment on the high standards of cleanliness and how well organised everything feels, from the layout of the living space to the small but thoughtful touches provided on arrival, including a Cornish cream tea. The accommodation itself is practical for couples or individual travellers, being welcoming and easy to settle into, with a generous open-plan living area and a kitchen that’s equipped for proper cooking rather than just light meals. A short walk from the door brings you to village amenities, including the Seven Stars, a friendly local pub serving snacks and meals, which many guests enjoy for a relaxed first evening without needing to drive.

Stithians is a traditional Cornish village that feels lived-in rather than geared solely towards visitors. Granite cottages sit alongside newer homes, surrounded by farmland and pockets of woodland, giving the village a relaxed, everyday feel. Despite its size, Stithians has a good range of facilities within easy reach of Parc Drae. There's a well stocked SPAR shop selling essentials and newspapers, including an off licence, a doctor’s surgery, churches, and a large playing field, all within walking distance. Thre is also both Anglican and Methodist churches and a traditional butcher's just outside the village. Regular bus services run through the village, which some guests find useful for days out without the car. Just beyond the village is Stithians Lake, where a level circular walk offers open views across the water, opportunities for birdwatching, and seasonal activities including sailing and a lakeside café. Many guests return to Parc Drae year after year, valuing its quiet atmosphere, reliable comfort, and the ease of staying somewhere that simply works well as a base.

The location makes this holiday rental in Stithians particularly convenient for exploring Cornwall as a whole. Both the north and south coasts are within straightforward driving distance, allowing for flexible days out without spending hours on the road. Truro is nearby for shopping, cafés and riverside walks beneath the cathedral, while Falmouth offers beaches, coastal paths and a busy harbour with plenty to see and do. Redruth, Camborne and Helston are also close by, and many of Cornwall’s well-known attractions can be reached within half an hour or so. Guests often combine coastal trips with quieter inland days, walking local footpaths, visiting historic towns, or heading out to gardens, castles and heritage sites. At the end of the day, Parc Drae offers a calm, comfortable place to return to - consistently well cared for, quietly welcoming, and well positioned for making the most of a Cornish break.

Accommodation Comprises: Comfortable, well-equipped self-catering accommodation for two, all on one level.

  • Bedroom: Double bed made up ready for arrival with fresh bedding; blankets available by prior arrangement.
  • Shower Room: Shower, basin, shaver socket and fan heater; combined washing machine and tumble dryer located here.
  • Separate WC: With airing cupboard providing useful storage.
  • Open-Plan Living / Kitchen / Dining Area: L-shaped living space with comfortable seating, a Smart TV with Freeview (internet-connected for guests’ own Netflix or Prime accounts), a DVD player, and a stereo. The dining area, which can be closed off from the lounge/kitchen, includes seating suitable for entertaining visitors.
  • Kitchen: Well-equipped with a cooker, microwave, refrigerator, toaster, and a generous supply of cutlery and china, which guests often appreciate when cooking for friends or family.

Outside
Parc Drae has its own entrance, off-road parking for one car, and an EV charger. Guests are welcome to use the mature garden. Although adjacent to the owners' home, the bungalow is private and quiet, with village amenities and countryside walks close at hand.
