Sitting amongst the narrow little streets lined with pastel-washed cottages that wind their way down to the harbour, Marry Dann is a stone's thrown from the bustling quayside with shops, cafes, bistros and restaurants. The apartment has a kingsize bedroom and a sofa bed and is ideal for couples as well as small families.
Padstow is situated on the North Cornwall coast sheltering in a narrow gulley on the River Camel estuary. It benefits from calm waters and generally a warm climate and is set against a beautiful landscape with wide sandy beaches and rugged cliffs.
Duke House dates back some three hundred years and is divided into three stylish self-catering apartments which offer the perfect mix of lovely traditional features such as stonework and solid beams blended with contemporary modern conveniences. Beautifully presented to an exceptionally high standard, each apartment affords a patio area for relaxing outside and alfresco dining, and one (see separate advert for Dukes Retreat) even has the exclusive use of a hot tub on the patio!
This is the ideal location at any time of the year whether you are looking for a relaxing break in Padstow or for a base from which to explore Cornwall's many attractions. Its diverse landscape holds many delights - unspoilt pretty fishing villages, market towns, historical castles and houses, the famous attractions of the Eden Project, Llanhydrock House and the beautiful Lost Gardens of Heligan to name only but a few.
Coastal footpaths with wonderful walks and golden beaches are nearby and the popular surfing haven of Newquay is only a short car ride away. Rugged coasts, quiet coves, fabulous walks, the opportunity to fish, sail or try a range of water sports, all make this a perfect location for those who enjoy outdoor activities. It is also great for golfers with the championship links golf course of Trevose within a short drive and three courses offering a challenge to golfers of all abilities within the area. Alternatively, simply relax and enjoy a meal in one of the many restaurants, bistros, cafes or pubs (including the famous TV Chef Rick Stein's restaurants and Paul Ainsworth's No. 6); take a leisurely stroll around the town and look at the interesting little shops or enjoy a relaxing day on one of the beautiful sandy beaches such as Rock which is adjacent to Padstow and accessible by the ferry.

Mary Dann can be found on the ground floor of Dukes House and is the perfect 'bolt-hole' for couples as well as small families who are happy to use the sofa bed.

Additional information: Please refer to the owners website for on-line booking. The hallway (also on the ground floor) has a washing machine/dryer for the shared use of guests. Central heating throughout. One dog welcome in Mary Dann (the owner has pet-free accommodation available). Flexible changeover available and short breaks (3 night minimum) available all year round. Prices include heating, electricity, bed linen and towels (please bring beach towels). No smoking. A parking permit is provided for guests to park in the nearby Lawn or Railway car park.
Transport: You can travel to Padstow via public transport and enjoy a holiday without the use of a car. There are train stations in Bodmin, Wadebridge and Newquay, a very good bus and taxi service and an airport in Newquay.
