Overdale is a characterful detached stone cottage tucked away in the rural village of Stenalees with lovely views across Bodmin. With three well proportioned bedrooms, a light and spacious lounge and secluded gardens with a lovely new Tennessee six to seven seater hot tub, complete with hydrotherapy jets and underwater LED lighting, it is the perfect self-catering holiday cottage for families wanting to explore this pretty corner of Cornwall. The sun terrace is the perfect spot for a leisurely morning coffee, whilst you can snuggle up in front of the wood burning stove during the cooler winter months.
The small village of Stenalees is a rural idyll, yet the Bugle Inn and Sawles Arms are both just a mile away. Just three miles south, the market town of St Austell has an excellent range of amenities including shops, eateries, a cinema and train station. Just a mile south from here you will find the pretty harbour village of Charlestown which is a lovely spot to enjoy a bite to eat or browse the shops and galleries. There is also a small beach here, but serious beach goers might prefer to head a mile south to the pretty bay at Porthpean Beach or the huge stretch of sand which is backed by undulating dunes at Par Sands.
If you are looking to try your hand at sailing, windsurfing, sea kayaking or water ski-ing, head to the beautiful beach of near-white sand at Pentewan Sands. Keen walkers can also pick up the South West coastal path from here or enjoy the three and half mile circular walk from St Austell to Pentewan on the Pentewan Valley Trail. Surfers should head to the north coast to catch some Atlantic waves. Newquay, often described as the surfing capital of Britain, is just half an hour away, or enjoy a day out at the bustling port of Padstow.
If you can tear yourself away from the sea there are plenty of other attractions nearby. Both the Eden Project and Lost Gardens of Heligan are close by, whilst golfers have the choice of two fantastic courses at either Porthpean or St Austell Golf Club. Cyclists can enjoy miles of traffic free trails on the family friendly Camel Trail and walkers will love exploring the trails on Bodmin Moor.

Outside: Delightful mature and secluded gardens with garden table and chairs. Please note that whilst the garden is private it cannot be considered as secure. The garden also includes a pond so children and pets must not be left unsupervised. Off road parking for two small or one large vehicle off a steep lane. A new Tennessee six to seven seater hot tub, complete with hydrotherapy jets and underwater LED lighting, is perfect for relaxing outside.
Additional information: Bed linen and towels are provided (1 small/1 large towel per person). Additional towels can be requested at a small additional charge. Water and heating are included, except fuel for the log burner and BBQ (owners can provide a starter pack of logs on arrival if required). Please note there are no cot or baby facilities at this property. No smoking. Well-behaved dogs welcome by prior agreement with the owner.
