Old Lanvean Cottage, is located in the pretty cornish village of St Mawgan, 5 minutes drive to the beach at Mawgan Porth, North Cornwall. The thatched cottage, has an enclosed garden, and is dog friendly. With Newquay, and Padstow just on your doorstep the cottage is well located for many of Cornwall's attractions.
Mawgan Porth, Watergate Bay, and the 7 bays west of Padstow are all incredible beaches for surfing, sandcastles, with stunning walks along the headland, and all within a very short drive away. Bedruthan steps, with its stunning views, and tearoom is also fantastic to visit. There are many restaurants and pubs nearby including the Falcon Inn - 5 minutes walk from the cottage.
The cottage provides the following accommodation.
SITTING ROOM In the sitting room there are two comfy sofas, and a 32” television with a Humax digital terrestrial TV set top box, a Now TV box for streaming channels, a Bluray / DVD player with a film library, and a Pure Evoke internet radio which has a Bluetooth input for playing music from your own devices.
SLEEPING There are two stunning bedrooms to choose from: The master bedroom is just lovely and comes with a super king-size zip-and-link bed, meaning it can be set up either as a double or twin beds for flexible sleeping arrangements. Furnished with pretty velvet fabrics from Liberty this gorgeous room has a window seat and views over the garden - the perfect spot for a long, lazy lie-in! In addition, there's a chest of drawers and hanging space. The second bedroom is also gorgeous and has a double bed. Also furnished with gorgeous liberty velvet fabrics this lovely room, with window seat and views over the garden, has a chest drawers and hanging space. Both beds have cotton linen and plump cushions to ensure a good nights' sleep.
COOKING AND DINING Enjoy cooking in the fully equipped country cottage kitchen, with wooden work tops, ceramic sink, fridge, cooker, microwave, washing machine and a cupboard stocked with a range of cooking appliances. The dining room features recycled and vintage items including a solid oak kitchen table and upcycled chairs. With the ability to seat 6, the dining table is perfect for entertaining if you’d like to invite friends over for the evening. The room has views into the garden and a window seat.
THE GARDEN The garden is situated in a beautiful spot, and the peaceful valley and village that surrounds it is a haven for wildlife. Enjoy outdoor dining on the table and chair set which seats 6, and we also have a wooden garden bench. The garden is fully fenced, perfect for bringing your four legged friends. The cottage is also perfect for both romantic escapes and also family breaks. A high chair and cot are also available.

STAYING AT OLD LANVEAN Please note the cottage is available for short breaks during the winter. During the Spring and summer from April to end of October, and Christmas and New Year we take a minimum of 7 day bookings.
ALL YEAR ROUND BREAKS The cottage is super cosy and is centrally heated. The bedrooms are fitted with light proof blinds to ensure a good nights sleep. During high and mid season arrival dates are Saturday's, and during the low season we can arrange for arrival dates on any day of the week.
