Boscastle, a village set in a beautiful valley, whose natural harbour and breathtaking walks have inspired the likes of Turner and Thomas Hardy. The Lodge is situated in the small quiet hamlet of Beeny approximately 1 1/2 miles from Boscastle. Watch for seals from the top of Beeny Cliff, just at the end of the owners field. Beeny Cliff also has a famous poem written by Thomas Hardy about his beloved Emma. There are circular walks and easy access to the Southwest coast path. Walk to Pentargon to see the 120 foot waterfall. A visit to the award winning Farm Shop on the way is a must, serving delicious breakfasts, lunches and afternoon tea.
Pubs, restaurants and shops close by, as well as the famous Witchcraft Museum. Discover the thunderous roar of the blow hole at Boscastle harbour, also known as the Devil’s Bellows.
Places of interest to visit include Tintagel, home of the legendary King Arthur and the remains of his cliff top castle. Bude canal/beaches, Trebarwith, Port Issac all nearby. The diminutive beaches and coves around this coastline are popular with surfers and sunbathers alike.
