Corgee Cottage is a rurally situated farm cottage nestled in the heart of Cornwall's beautiful countryside. A real 'get away from it all' holiday destination, surrounded by beautiful walking country and places of interest. Minutes from the A30 and the centre of Cornwall, both the moors and coast are within easy reach. Whether you plan to stay a few nights, or a couple of weeks, Tor View is the perfect place to enjoy every corner of the county.
Tor View is set on a dairy farm which extends to some 119 hectares and provides the opportunity to enjoy a taste of country life where you can see farm animals and a wealth of wildlife in the surrounding countryside. Whilst eating alfresco on the balcony, you can enjoy the panoramic views across the surrounding area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. English Heritage manage Breney Common and Helman Tor which adjoin the farm and are perfect for those with a passion for birdwatching and nature. The cottage is also alongside the Saints Way and near both the Camel Trail and the Cornish Way Leisure Cycling Trail, so there is plenty of off-road cycling opportunities. For those who prefer their saddle on a horse, there is also a riding stable next to the farm. If you have your own horse the owners can offer livery on the farm.
The cottage is attached to the original farmhouse but has its own private walled garden with barbecue area and garden furniture. For any families there is not only the private games room but also outdoor play equipment and play area just down the lane. There is a charcoal barbecue and garden furniture so you can relax in the garden and enjoy the peace and tranquility. Inside the cottage, the lounge, fully fitted kitchen and dining area are all upstairs to take advantage of the fabulous views. Downstairs there are two bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other with twin beds which can be zipped together to make a king sized bed. Each bedroom has its own flat screen television and DVD player. The bathroom is downstairs and if you prefer a shower, there is one in the private garden games room.
If you are not tempted by the unspoilt countryside views from the lounge and veranda, there is a 50" television for you watch, and two further Smart televisions, on one each bedroom. The kitchen is fully equipped with dishwasher, fridge, microwave, coffee maker, oven, grill and hob. There is a freezer in the games room. The kitchen has lovely granite worktops, two granite sinks and oak cupboards.
The cottage has its own private, off road, parking area. Tor View is the perfect base for your walking or cycling holiday, with extensive tracks of moorland, heath land and woodland nearby. If it’s one of the major attractions you are looking to visit then the Eden project is just ten minutes drive away, Lanhydrock House (National Trust) and The Lost Gardens of Heligan, twenty minutes, Tintagel Castle forty five minutes and Lostwithiel Castle fifteen. For the more energetic there is kayaking, canoeing, BMX bike riding, quad and go-kart racing, rock climbing, coasteering and of course surfing and kite surfing. For the less energetic you could always book a fishing trip from one of the many picturesque coastal villages or relax on one of the glorious sandy beaches. The South coast takes only fifteen minutes to reach and the North coast is half an hour.
