Chylean is in the parish of Tintagel. Tintagel is a small village famous for King Arthur's Castle. The village has several pubs, grocery shops and gift shops and there is a basic bus service. Nearby are the villages of Boscastle, Delabole and Camelford. The local beach, Trebarwith Strand, is dog friendly and is a good surfing beach. There are lifeguards in the Summer months. The beaches of Polzeath and Daymer Bay are a short drive away. Watersports are available at Rock about 20 minutes drive away. There are local golf courses and riding stables.
Chylean is situated in Penpethy which is a small area consisting of farms and small businesses. Chylean has a quarry to the West, a farm to the North and The Pixie House to the East. The area is rural with views across fields and out to sea taking in the headlands of the North Cornish Coast including Trevose Head Lighthouse.

Furze is the largest of our 3 small cedar chalets offering peace and quiet on the side of the Trebarwith Valley. Furze is the highest chalet and has a stunning seaview across the headlands of the North Cornish Coast. Furze sleeps 4 plus 2 on the futon and the 2 smaller chalets, Willow and Maple, each sleep 2 plus 2 on the futon. The nearest beach is Trebarwith Strand which is 2 miles away and is dog friendly. The chalets are in a rural location and our guests often see wildlife such as foxes, rabbits and wild deer.
There is plenty of parking space in our carpark at road level but it is not possible to park next to the chalets. The access to the chalets is via a fairly steep slope and a grassy path to Willow and Maple and the same slope plus around 36 long steps to Furze. For this reason the chalets are not suitable for elderly or incapacitated people.
Only Saturday to Saturday bookings please between 27th July and 31st August - otherwise dates are flexible.
We now have wifi in all the chalets and around the site.
Please bring your own duvets, sheets and pillows. Please enquire for prices if this is not possible.
