Despite being conveniently close to the busy town centre and only half a mile from the Wavendon Arms pub, it feels wonderfully remote and rural. Overlooking an acre of landscaped gardens in a location adjacent to open countryside gives you the perfect escape at any time of the year. The owners have created a modern, eco-friendly holiday home with luxurious touches like underfloor heating, contemporary Italian furniture, chic bathrooms, and free EV charging.
Milton Keynes may not immediately feature on your dream holiday list, but it deserves a place near the top for everything it can offer. Whether you love food, shopping, sport, or rural views, you'll find it here. Excellent train links mean you can be in the centre of London in 40-minutes, meaning that you can easily add a night at the theatre or some sightseeing in the capital to your itinerary. Things to do in Milton Keynes include finding the perfect outfit at centre:mk or Midsummer Place, watching the buskers and enjoying a meal at The Hub, catching a live performance at the Milton Keynes Theatre, or indulging your inner petrol head at the Silverstone Interactive Museum or on a Red Bull Racing Factory Tour. There are over 6,000 acres of parkland to enjoy, watersports at Willen Lake, high ropes adventure at Treetop Extreme, and indoor snowboarding and skiing at Xscape.
Nearby are places like Woburn Abbey and Bletchley Park. Hire a bike and cycle beside the Grand Union Canal or along 170-miles of traffic-free Redway routes around the town and through the surrounding countryside. Golfers can choose from a dozen courses within a 25-minute radius of South Lodge, some of which offer tuition and equipment hire.
South Lodge is handy for the M1, A5 and A421, so it's ideal for getting around and providing a peaceful place to unwind after a busy day. These details are for the two-bedroom apartment. The studio is finished and furnished to an equally high standard with high-quality features and facilities throughout and can be viewed by clicking through to the owners website.
Outside: There is a patio with garden views and outdoor furniture, and parking outside. The site has three EV charging points which are free for guests to use.
Additional Information: Utilities, WiFi, bed linen and bath towels are included. The owners offer a servicing and linen change as a free option for stays of four nights or more. A breakfast starter pack is provided with additional breakfast items and evening meals available. Access to both the Annex and Studio is wheelchair friendly and there is a dedicated wide parking space outside making the properties suitable for those with restricted mobility. Please note that the bathrooms are not suitably equipped for wheelchair users. No children, but babies small enough to sleep in a travel cot are welcome. Up to two dogs are welcome. Smoking is not permitted.
