Lantern Cottage is an attractive stone holiday cottage with lots of character located in the unspoilt Northamptonshire village of Evenley, bordering the counties of Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire. Nestling in the very heart of rural Northamptonshire, the cottage is ideally placed by the village green and provides a peaceful retreat for families, friends and couples at any time of the year.
Conveniently located, there is a thriving pub and village shop just two minutes walk from Lantern Cottage where you can enjoy a meal out or stock up on provisions. Brackley offers an extensive choice of shops and amenities and is only five minutes by car or for the serious shoppers amongst you, head to Bicester Outlet Village (just over fifteen minutes drive). The stunning Evenley Wood Garden is close by with sixty acres of private woodland which are open to the public between February and October 2016.
An ideal base for exploring Central England, Lantern Cottage is within easy reach of a host of attractions and great days out and there are also wonderful walks locally for those who enjoy being outdoors. The pretty Cotswolds villages and historic towns are just waiting to be discovered and within easy driving distance or for those seeking the thrill of the races, head to Silverstone circuit for a day of excitement and exhilaration. Shakespeare's very own Stratford-upon-Avon is also within easy reach, as are the dreamy romantic spires of Oxford city centre, Warwickshire with its majestic medieval castle and Blenheim Palace (the very place where Winston Churchill was born) to name just a few.

Additional information: Bed linen and towels provided along with a welcome pack on arrival. The cottage has free unlimited Wi-Fi. Unfortunately no pets. Central heating keeps the cottage warm all year round. Travel cot and high chair available upon request. There is a strict no smoking policy throughout the house. Flexible changeover offered.
