Lavender Cottage sleeps up to four guests in two bedrooms and is a quintessentially English thatched holiday cottage located in the unspoilt Northamptonshire village of Evenley, bordering the counties of Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire. As pretty as its name, this quaint Grade II listed stone cottage nestles within the very heart of rural Northamptonshire and provides a peaceful retreat for families, friends and couples at any time of the year.
Ideally placed just off the village green, there is a thriving pub and village shop just two minutes walk from Lavender Cottage where you can enjoy a meal out or stock up on provisions. Brackley offers an extensive choice of shops and amenities and is only five minutes by car or for the serious shoppers amongst you, head to Bicester Outlet Village (just over fifteen minutes drive). The stunning Evenley Wood Garden is close by with sixty acres of private woodland which are open to the public between February and October 2016.
An ideal base for exploring Central England, Lavender Cottage is within easy reach of a host of attractions and great days out and there are also wonderful walks locally for those who enjoy being outdoors. The pretty Cotswolds villages and historic towns are just waiting to be discovered and within easy driving distance or for those seeking the thrill of the races, head to Silverstone circuit for a day of excitement and exhilaration. Shakespeare's very own Stratford-upon-Avon is also within easy reach, as are the dreamy romantic spires of Oxford city centre, Warwickshire with its majestic medieval castle and Blenheim Palace (the very place where Winston Churchill was born) to name just a few.
Lavender Cottage is perfect whether you want an action packed week exploring this beautiful part of Central England or simply want to relax and enjoy the charm of a chocolate box thatched cottage.

Additional information: Quality linen and towels provided along with a welcome pack on arrival. The cottage has free unlimited Wi-Fi. Unfortunately no pets. Central heating keeps the cottage warm all year round. Travel cot and high chair available upon request. There is a strict no smoking policy throughout the house and no candles are to be lit to comply with fire regulations in the thatched cottage. Lettings run from Saturday to Saturday.
