About Seaview Cottage

Seaview Cottage is a spacious detached property near Straad on the Isle of Bute. A short walk along a quiet country lane leads you to a magnificent sandy beach. Heading inland takes you alongside farmland to the coastal town of Rothesay on the east coast of Bute, 3.5 miles away, with a supermarket and other amenities. The excellent self-catering facilities are ideal for families and friends as the holiday home comfortably sleeps six people in three bedrooms, one on the ground floor. It's a heavenly retreat where you can escape in any season and enjoy peace and tranquillity.

The Isle of Bute is off the west coast of Scotland, reached via a ferry trip over the Firth of Clyde. With spectacular beaches, craggy hills and mountains, moorlands and more, Bute has something for everyone but especially appeals to anyone who appreciates incredible views and exploring the outdoors. Rothesay is the main settlement with a fantastic array of places to eat and shop and attractions like Rothesay Castle and Mount Stuart. Recreation naturally focuses on the water with lots of opportunities to fish, swim, SUP, kayak, and sail. The island's jagged outline means there is always a sheltered bay to enjoy, even on a breezy day. Seaview Cottage is on St Ninian's Bay with views towards Inchmarnock and the Isle of Arran.

With so much natural beauty that is a haven for birds and wildlife, it can be hard to believe that Bute is only 90 minutes from the noise and bustle of Glasgow. You'll find your shoulders relaxing as you drive west of the city, with the 35-minute ferry crossing from Wemyss Bay being the last bit of encouragement you need to shuck off the stress of daily life and embrace the slow, relaxed pace of island life.

Seaview Cottage has recently been awarded a five star gold award from Visit Scotland and AA.
