Ormidale House is a fantastic venue if you are looking to host a family get together, a friends reunion, a conference, or even a wedding. It is full of character and charm, and boasts plenty of extras such as a hot tub, heated indoor swimming pool, sauna and billiards room, yet is also cosy and comfortable with a home away from home vibe. Located on the historic Argyll Estate on the Cowal Peninsula, just an hour and a half from Glasgow, it is the perfect location to get away from it all. With a flexible bedroom layout Ormidale House sleeps 35 people in 13 bedrooms, making it perfect for large families (dogs are welcome too!) or groups of friends or colleagues going away together.
Guests at Ormidale House are welcome to explore the surrounding 22 acres on the Argyll Estate. Enjoy a game of tennis, go for a bike ride, or play a game of croquet. The surrounding forests are perfect for a game of hide and seek, a leisurely walk or picnic. Keen walkers can venture just a little further afield to the Arrochar Alps where you will find a range of rugged and challenging peaks to climb. Alternatively, head south and enjoy exploring some of the beautiful islands and famous lochs of the Cowal Peninsula. Other activities and attractions include sailing at Tighnabruaich, visiting the Benmore Botanic Garden or the Arrochar Alps gin distillery.
There is plenty to see and do on the stunning Cowal Peninsula but many guests find it hard to tear themselves too far away from 'home' at Ormidale House. If you are looking to host a larger group of people The Mill House (sleeps 22), Old Barn (sleeps 16) and Garden Cottage (sleeps 4) are also available to rent on the same estate. Short breaks are available all year round.

There are 10 bedrooms on the first floor, including:
Four of the bedrooms are ensuite and there are three separate bathrooms. All the beds have luxurious goose-down and feather duvets and high quality bed-linen.
Second Floor:
Outside: Doors lead outside to the terrace and hot tub. Guests also have use of the 22 acre estate including an indoor swimming pool, a tennis court, football pitch, games cottage with pool table, table tennis and darts, and a sunken trampoline. The owners also provide bikes of various sizes, golf clubs, croquet sets, tennis rackets, and badminton kit. The estate backs onto a huge forest (owned by the Forestry Commission) which guests are free to roam onto.
Additional information: WiFi, utilities, bedlinen and towels are included. Hot tub hire is £100 for the weekend and £150 for the week.
