The Fold is a spacious and modern bungalow proving comfortable self-catering accommodation for two adults in the heart of the bustling market town of Leyburn. With modern conveniences such as Netflix, an Amazon Alexa and Nespresso coffee machine, you will instantly feel on holiday here. Outside you will also find a 7kw electric vehicle charger and secure bike storage. Enjoy a barbeque on the private patio during balmy summer evenings or snuggle up by the electric fire during the cooler months. The sociable kitchen, with a breakfast bar and two stools, has everything you need to rustle up a tasty dinner, or treat yourselves to a night out at one of the many restaurants and pubs just a short stroll away.
If you don't fancy venturing too far the pretty town of Leyburn has plenty to keep you entertained for a day or two. Browse the independent shops, enjoy afternoon tea at one of the cafes or stock up on essentials at the bustling Friday market. You can also hop on board the Wensleydale Heritage Railway for a ride into the Yorkshire Dales and chocolate and tea lovers shouldn't miss a visit to the tea pottery at Ceramic Inspirations and the Chocolatier at Inspired Chocolate. Alternatively, you can watch gin being distilled at Taplin and Mageean Spirit Company, or if real ale is more your tipple there is also a Wensleydale Brewery in Leyburn.
Often described as the gateway to the Yorkshire Dales, Leyburn is also a haven for walkers and cyclists. There is no need to jump in the car as there are plenty of walks and trails to explore from the front door. Keen walkers can enjoy the six mile hike to Bolton Castle, or simply meander through the beautiful countryside and enjoy discovering waterfalls, streams and pretty Yorkshire villages. Just a fifteen minute drive away you will find the impressive Aysgarth Falls which is a lovely spot for a gentle stroll and picnic.
It's not all about walks and tea rooms in this beautiful spot. You will be spoilt for choice with the huge number of attractions on your doorstep too. Explore the labyrinth of tunnels at The Forbidden Corner, the beautiful gardens at Constable Burton Hall or the Cistercian monastery at Jervaulx Abbey. Cheese lovers should visit Hawes, home of the Wensleydale Creamery, whilst you'll find two breweries and a gin distillery in the market town of Masham. Adventure seekers can try their hand at gorge walking, caving, climbing or paragliding or if you would rather keep your feet firmly on the ground, enjoy a day out in the Roman city of York.
There is so much to see and do in Leyburn, but you'll also be forgiven for simply taking some time out to relax and unwind in the gorgeous surroundings. With both short breaks and long stays available, The Fold is perfect for a holiday in Wensleydale at any time of the year.

Outside: The rear patio garden, which has a table, four chairs and a charcoal BBQ, is a lovely quiet spot for an al fresco lunch or evening glass of wine. Guests are welcome to store their bikes in a small lockable store room. There is private off street parking for two vehicles and an EV charging point.
Additional information: Bed linen, towels and heating are included. Sorry, no pets, no children and no smoking.
