Hop Cottage is a pretty double-fronted cottage, just a short stroll from the beach, in the very desirable village of Little Haven, within the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. The owners have transformed this traditional stone cottage into a space that is warm and welcoming, with original features and contemporary touches that make it a fantastic choice for families and friends to stay. The cottage has three bedrooms and three bath/shower rooms, and comfortably sleeps up to six people. There are three pubs, a cafe and a lobster shop/deli all within walking distance.
Little Haven is the type of holiday destination that attracts repeat visitors for its beauty and relaxed charm. The beach is a favourite with children who love to scrunch their toes in the sand and find treasures in the many rock pools. It is possible to walk along the beach to neighbouring Broad Haven at low tide, or alternatively along the road over Settlands Hill, which forms part of the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path. Broad Haven offers further places to eat and drink, a mini-supermarket, post office and a place to hire surfboards, bodyboards and paddleboards. Dogs are welcome on Little Haven & most of Broad Haven beach all year round.
A holiday at Hop Cottage can include fun on the beach, or a walk along the coastal path to admire the far-reaching views over beautiful St Bride's Bay. Slightly further away but still well within reach for a day out include picturesque Solva, with its lovely harbour and pastel-coloured houses, and Britain's smallest city, St David's, where there is a thriving art community, stunning cathedral and fantastic choice of places to eat, drink and shop. Here adventurous types can book a guided coasteering session, while more relaxed guests may prefer a sightseeing boat trip to Ramsay or Skomer Islands to see the puffins and other sea birds. Horse riding is available at nearby Nolton stables.
There is something for everyone in every season in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. It is the perfect playground for anyone who loves being outdoors and active, and also those that just prefer to relax and admire the stunning scenery that surrounds this part of Wales.
