The Tackroom is just perfect for couples and a lovely romantic dog-friendly retreat at the very heart of the family-run Annstead Farm, close to its little campsite, next to the cattle sheds. Beautifully located, Annstead Farm is just across the road from Annstead Dunes Nature Reserve with its expansive glorious sandy beach. Whether you're seeking a relaxing holiday lazing on the beach or fancy walking, cycling and wildlife spotting in this beautiful part of Northumberland, The Tackroom is a welcoming retreat to return home to at the end of the day with a super choice of eateries and amenities within a half mile walk in Seahouses and Beadnell.
Sitting in the Northumberland Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), the farm affords one of the most unspoiled coastal landscapes in the country. Lace up your walking boots and enjoy stunning walks straight from the front door. Blow the cobwebs away and walk for miles along the beach enjoying the vast open skies and golden sands with little to distract you apart from an occasional person and seagull.
Walk, cycle or drive into Seahouses to stock up on provisions, enjoy a meal out or take a boat trip from the harbour to the Farne Islands to see the seals and seabird colonies (the puffins are a particularly special sight). Beadnell's sheltered beach makes it good for kayaking, wake-boarding and kiteboarding or fish for salmon and trout in the beautiful clear waters. Take the opportunity to go horse riding and gallop along the beach or stick to two feet and grab a boat trip to Longstone Lighthouse. Go sailing, enjoy a round of golf or visit Newcastle-Upon-Tyne for some retail therapy and city life. Historians will also enjoy a visit to Bamburgh and Alnwick Castles.
However you choose to spend your holiday, you can be sure of a warm welcome at Annstead Farm and a relaxing holiday in The Tackroom.
