Church Cottage is warm and welcoming, providing a high standard of accommodation for families, couples or friends who want a stylish home-away-from-home within walking distance of the beach at Beadnell Bay on the beautiful Northumbrian Coast. The cottage faces the village green and church and sleeps up to seven people in three bedrooms. As well as being just a short stroll from the beach, local shop and cafe/bistro, the Towers Pub and Craster Arms, which are family and dog-friendly, are nearby if you feel like a relaxed drink or a tasty meal you did not have to cook yourself.
Beadnell Bay represents everything families love about a holiday by the seaside. Forget tacky shops full of tasteless souvenirs and imagine instead a gently curved beach where soft sand meets clear, sheltered water that is ideal for swimming, paddle boarding, kite boarding or kayaking. In addition to a beautiful beach, excellent pub and well-stocked village shop, Beadnell has a small west-facing harbour (a quirk on the east coast!) and always feels wonderfully laid-back.
Beadnell is just one of many excellent beaches on the Northumbrian coast. Protected as a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the 30-mile coastline includes breathtaking beaches such as Bamburgh, only a few miles away from Church Cottage, and Alnmouth. Holy Island and the Lindisfarne National Nature Reserve are within easy reach, and a trip to Farne Island to see the thriving colonies of puffins and seals will be a highlight of your holiday.
Northumberland has castles and stately homes to explore, a myriad of birds and wildlife, wonderful footpaths and cycling routes to suit every availability, and more natural beauty than you can imagine - beauty which continues to shine even after the sun has gone down, thanks to the dazzlingly starlit skies of the Northumberland International Dark Sky Park.
A holiday in Church Cottage is one you will never forget, not only for its lovely location but also because the owners have created a pleasant space where you can relax and enjoy spending time with your family and friends.
