Braunston Manor Cottage is rated 5.0 by over 40 customer reviews. The 17th century cottage sleeps up to 4 guests in two separate double bedrooms, each with a double 4-poster bed and its own private en-suite bathroom.
Downstairs, we have installed a fully equiped modern kitchen with a full height fridge/freezer, microwave, cooker, dishwasher, washing machine/dryer and plenty of pots & pans and utensiles to support any keen chefs. Also downstairs is the living room with comfy sofas and a smart TV with movie streaming and Chromecast support. There is also an electric fire-effect stove that provides a cosy focal point on a cold winter's evening.
For those wanting to eat and drink out, there are four pubs within walking distance in the village, two of which are situated alongside the canal, together with a fish and chip shop, a village cafe and in summer, a nearby canal boat that does lovely English breakfasts. There is also a superb butchers, convenience store and hairdressers in the village.
The historic village of Braunston is itself famous for being the centre of the English canal network, being situated at the junction of the Oxford and Grand Union canals. There is a marina together with various old canal buildings and many lovely local walks along the canal tow path and around the surrounding countryside.
Braunston is situated close to the boundaries of Warwickshire, Leicestershire and Northamptonshire and so further afield, there are many places to visit within easy driving distance, such as Stratford, Warwick, the Cotswolds, Silverstone and the English Midlands in general.

The property is a detached two storey cottage, with a kitchen and sitting room on the ground floor and two double bedrooms on the first floor. In detail :
Kitchen – Fully fitted modern kitchen with dishwasher, electric cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine/tumble dryer, as well as a large range of cooking utensils. The kitchen table provides comfortable dining for four.
Sitting room – Two large sofas, together with a modern electric fire-effect stove and subtle side lighting gives an instant feeling of cosiness on a cold winter’s night. The smart TV is provided with a movie subscription for streaming, as well as an external DVD player with a selection of DVDs.
Bedroom 1 – king-size four poster bed, a chest of drawers, a wardrobe and an ensuite bathroom. The bathroom has a toilet, washbasin and bath with over-bath shower attachment.
Bedroom 2 – double four poster bed, a chest of drawers, a wardrobe and an ensuite bathroom. The bathroom has a toilet, washbasin and bath with over-bath shower attachment.
Common facilities -
Central heating and hot water is provided by a modern combi-boiler. Free Wi-fi is also available throughout the cottage.
Outside
There is a cosy patio area supplied with a dining table, candles and a bbq which is a lovely space to eat and drink on a warm evening. In addition, to the side of the cottage is a private lawned area with access to the Grand Union canal towpath via a walk across the Manor fields.
There is ample guest parking for two cars.
Guests have exclusive access to the cottage, the cottage garden and to the patio bbq area.
General
Smoking is not permitted inside the cottage and we regret that no children under 13, or pets, are allowed.
We live in the Manor house next door, so we will normally be available to provide help and assistance should you request it. We have a friendly dog (Golden Retriever) and as the grounds around the cottage are not fenced, he may come and say hello in the hope of a fuss, or a treat !!
