Sunrise Cottage can be somewhere to escape, a place to retreat to refresh your spirit, and a welcoming home-away-from-home with panoramic views of Hartoft Dale. The one-bedroom holiday cottage is in Hartoft in the North York Moors National Park, close to Rosedale Abbey and 10 miles north of Pickering. You'll sleep like a baby in the super-kingsized bed, waking to the sound of birdsong.
If you're a hiker, you'll be lacing up your boots with glee at the prospect of so many beautiful places to discover. If you're a cyclist, you'll relish the opportunity to explore the roads and trails for which the North York Moors are famous in the cycling world. Walkers can discover the three-mile walk to Rosedale Abbey via Hartoft Rigg, incredibly scenic in every season, with other local routes including the Iron mining history of the Rosedale Railway walk. A little further is the Hole of Horcum or walk around Goathland and the Station (famous for Heartbeat and Harry Potter). Several golf courses are nearby and cycle hire with Electric bikes are at Danby, Sutton Bank and Dalby. The forests of Cropton and Dalby offer a huge area to explore for walking, cycling or simply taking in nature.
Twenty minutes from Sunrise Cottage, Pickering is packed full of excellent amenities where you can shop for your self-catering provisions, including a busy Monday market. A popular holiday destination in its own right, Pickering's long history involves Romans, Celts and Vikings. Its castle is Norman, and the town saw some skirmishes during the Civil War. Pickering is home to the famous North Yorkshire Moors Railway which can take you to Goathland and Whitby. The Beck Isle Museum is worth a visit and in the picture perfect village of Hutton le Hole you can experience the Ryedale Folk Museum, with Eden Camp Museum down the road near Malton. Other places within easy reach for shopping and lunch include Kirkbymoorside, Helmsley, Malton, and Stokesley. York is around 35 miles from the cottage for a day of sightseeing or shopping and within easy reach is Whitby with many beautiful coastal places and beaches of the North Yorkshire Coast.
Sunrise Cottage is on a quiet farm, out of the way but not isolated. It has incredible views from the house and the patio, and there are fantastic walks and beautiful bridleways from the door.

Outside: The cottage has a patio with outdoor seating from where you can admire the panoramic views during the day and spectacular starry night skies. There is also bicycle storage and off-street parking.
Additional Information: Utilities, WiFi, bed linen and bath towels are included. Smoking and pets are not permitted.
