Priory Cottage has everything you could wish for in a comfortable Victorian holiday cottage. Beautifully decorated with indulgent colours and decorative period details, the Guisborough holiday home sleeps five guests in two bedrooms and is ideal for families or couples. Although it's conveniently close to the town's excellent amenities, including independent shops and cafes, a market square, and friendly pubs like the stylish The Monk and more traditional Ship Inn, the house still feels quiet and peaceful, with lovely views over mature gardens.
Guisborough is just over the border from the North York Moors National Park and less than half an hour from beaches like Staithes on the North Yorkshire Coast. It's ideal for a holiday in any season. Fill your holiday with walking, mountain biking, historic sites, great food and lots of fun. Being on the edge of the North York Moors gives visitors miles of footpaths. Hike the Cleveland Hills along the long-distance Cleveland Way, climb Roseberry Topping for panoramic views before continuing to Captain Cook's Monument. Baysdale, Hob Hole, and Battersby Moor are other gorgeous alternatives, showcasing the scenery that makes this area so special. Guisborough Forest is a popular spot with mountain bikers for the miles of exhilarating singletrack that are only a short ride from the cottage.
Local attractions include Gisborough Priory, the Guisborough Forest Walkway and Visitor Centre, and Scaling Dam. Staithes is around a 25-minute drive with glorious clifftop walks, a pretty harbour, and fantastic seafood. You can go to Tockett's Mill Country Park, the Captain Cook Schoolroom Museum in Great Ayton, and the Cleveland Iron Museum. There are also dozens of picturesque towns and villages to explore, each with a unique charm and character.
You, your family and even your dogs will feel welcome and comfortable at Priory Cottage, enjoying a high standard of accommodation no matter what time of year you visit.
