The cottage is within walking distance of a pub, tea room, shop, pretty water mill and majestic Cistercian Abbey and is a great base for exploring this beautiful part of Scotland.

The Old Stables is a newly renovated cottage in Dumfries, a short walk from shops, cafes, bars, museums, and the beautiful Devorgilla Bridge and the River Nith. The three-bedroom, two-bathroom cottage comfortably sleeps six people and welcomes families and friends all year round. There is a wide variety of things to do and see, with activities including walking, cycling, fishing and golf. Visit historical buildings such as Caerlaverock Castle and Sweetheart Abbey, spend happy days shopping and sightseeing, and nights with a pint in Robert Burns' favourite bar, The Globe. 

Chesters comfortably accommodates up to a dozen people in five bedrooms, making it ideal for families, extended families and friends. The spacious holiday home has a big living room, separate games room, and big gardens with panoramic views. It is on the edge of Dumfries, around two miles from the market town's excellent shops, restaurants and amenities.
