About Opera View

Opera View enjoys one of Buxton's most sought-after town centre locations. Set within a beautifully restored Grade II listed building, this stylish two-bedroom corner apartment places you at the heart of one of the Peak District's most elegant destinations. Just moments from the renowned Buxton Opera House, you'll find independent boutiques, welcoming cafés, restaurants and traditional pubs right on your doorstep.

For centuries, Buxton has attracted discerning visitors seeking relaxation, culture and fresh countryside air. During the Georgian and Victorian eras, fashionable society flocked here to enjoy the town's restorative thermal waters and refined social scene. Today, its distinctive character remains, with grand architecture, thriving cultural attractions and spectacular scenery combining to create a destination that's perfect for a memorable getaway.

Thoughtfully renovated to blend historic charm with contemporary comfort, Opera View provides a welcoming retreat for couples, friends and small families exploring the Peak District National Park.

One of Derbyshire's most popular destinations, Buxton is renowned for its impressive Georgian and Victorian architecture, vibrant arts scene and beautiful green spaces. Discover the iconic Buxton Crescent, spend an afternoon in the picturesque Pavilion Gardens, or enjoy a performance at the celebrated Opera House. Wander the elegant town centre, sample the famous spring water at St Ann's Well, or take a peaceful stroll along the Serpentine Walks.

Throughout the year, Buxton hosts an exciting calendar of cultural events, including the internationally acclaimed Buxton International Festival, which celebrates opera, music and literature. History enthusiasts can explore Buxton Museum & Art Gallery or venture underground to discover the remarkable limestone chambers of Poole's Cavern.

Beyond the town, the Peak District National Park offers endless opportunities for adventure and exploration. Britain's first National Park is a paradise for walkers and cyclists, with routes suitable for every ability. Explore iconic landscapes such as Mam Tor and Kinder Scout, wander through the stunning valleys of Dovedale and Monsal Dale, or enjoy scenic countryside drives through rolling hills and picturesque villages.

The region is also home to some of England's finest heritage attractions, including Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall and the UNESCO-listed Derwent Valley Mills. Whether you're seeking outdoor adventure, rich history, cultural experiences or simply a relaxing escape, Opera View is perfectly placed for enjoying the very best of Buxton and the Peak District.

  • Climbing the stairs to the front door is like a history lesson; the building and lantern roof light are so beautifully preserved.
