The Thatch is everything you could wish for in a romantic Cotswolds retreat with heaps of character, a log burner for cosy winter nights and a pretty garden for enjoying the summer months. Sleeping two guests in a king-size bedroom, this picture-postcard pretty Grade 11 listed stone and thatch holiday cottage affords a prime position (with off-road parking!) on the edge of Chipping Campden town in the highly sort after area of Westington.
Enjoying a peaceful position, The Thatch is under a ten minute walk from the centre of Chipping Campden town. One of the most beautiful towns in the Cotswolds, Chipping Campden offers an excellent selection of restaurants, pubs and shops showcasing local produce. Surrounded by the glorious rolling Cotswold Hills, guests can enjoy fabulous walks straight from the front door; lovely cycle rides with pretty honey coloured villages and towns to explore along the way; and lazy days where you do no more than read the morning paper, browse the independent shops and stroll to the pub for a leisurely lunch before retiring in front of the fire with a glass of your favourite tipple.
For those who want to explore the area, Chipping Campden is well placed and within easy reach of the historic market town of Stow-on-the-Wold, Bourton-on-the-Water (lovingly knows as the 'Little Venice of the Cotswolds'), Burford (with its great shops and lovely garden centre outside of the town), the picturesque Slaughters and Moreton in Marsh (with a mainline station and fast trains to London). Cheltenham, Woodstock (home to Blenheim Palace), Stratford-upon-Avon, magnificent Warwick castle and the Roman City of Bath are also among the many attractions within driving distance for a day trip out.
With superb amenities all but on the doorstep and an abundance of attractions within easy reach, The Thatch is an excellent choice for couples looking to explore or simply relax in this beautiful part of Central England.
