About The Studio

The Studio is a gorgeous Cotswolds holiday cottage in a peaceful location on the edge of Broad Campden, a five-minute stroll from the Bakers Arms pub. You won't find a place that embodies the Cotswold dream better than this thatched property with beautiful rural views. While the exterior is as traditional as you like, with honey stone walls and a solid oak front door, the interior is the epitome of relaxed luxury with two ensuite bedrooms sleeping four people and high-quality fixtures and furnishings. Couples, friends, and families, including those with dogs, love staying at The Studio.

While many people are familiar with the neighbouring market town of Chipping Campden, Broad Campden is more of a hidden gem. There are many Cotswold attractions and beautiful sights within a short drive, yet Broad Campden is off the busy tourist route and, therefore, delightfully idyllic. Your way to the pub will take you past centuries-old cottages, the village church of St Michael's, and the oldest known Quaker meeting house in Britain. The Cotswolds is a walker's paradise. The footpaths are as scenic as they are plentiful. You can walk just over a mile to Chipping Campden, follow a nine-mile loop to Broadway, or treat yourself to a stretch of the 102-mile Cotswolds Way. Another excellent way to enjoy the Cotswolds scenery is on a bicycle. Navigate yourself or book a place on a guided cycling tour and benefit from the knowledge of a local expert.

Chipping Campden has a huge choice of places to eat and drink with independent shops and boutiques. It's a lovely town with markets on the second weekend of every month in the Town Hall. It is possibly the most photographed town in the Cotswolds - easily believable, given how picturesque it is. Also nearby, Broadway, Stow-on-the-Wold and Bourton-on-the-Water have excellent amenities and are full of character. Don't miss seeing the Yew trees at St Edward's Church in Stow, which frame the entrance and appear part of the ancient stone walls. No one knows exactly how old they are, but it's undoubtedly centuries.

Places to visit include Hidcote Manor National Trust Gardens on the edge of Chipping Campden. The Studio is barely 12 miles from Stratford-Upon-Avon with its fantastic Shakespeare attractions. Cheltenham's boutiques and racecourse are half an hour's drive and an excellent spot for shopping and lunch or a flutter on the horses. The Roman town of Cirencester, or Corinium Dobunnorum, as it was named then, is less than an hour by car and also a fabulous choice for a scenic drive and a day out.

The Studio is more than a holiday cottage. It will quickly feel like your second home. Make your holiday even more memorable by talking to the owner about booking clay-pigeon shooting, spa days, horse riding, soap or hat-making courses, and wine tasting, or surprising your guests with a delicious food hamper. It can be booked together with Garden Cottage to accommodate ten guests.

You'll love wrapping yourself in the luxurious bedding and sleeping until you're ready to wake.
  • Each tiled ensuite has a shower, heated towel rail, shaving point, demister, WC and a handbasin.
