The Manor Wychwood is a gorgeous Cotswold holiday home. Surrounded by three acres of private parkland and with space for 24 people to sleep in 10 sumptuous bedrooms, it is ideal for your annual holiday with extended family, stag and hen weekends, or celebrating milestone occasions.
Tucked away in the peaceful hamlet of Fordwells in the Cotswold Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), The Manor Wychwood is in the perfect location for groups who appreciate space and privacy. However, the house is not isolated, being only a short drive from the bustling village of Witney where there is an excellent choice of welcoming pubs, shops, cafes, supermarkets and other useful amenities. It is easy to see why Witney was once voted the best places to live in Britain as you stroll past the pretty market square with its traditional Buttercross.
The Cotswolds have some of the best rural views in England and exploring the area is a joy in every season. In addition to green swathes of beautiful countryside laced with lanes, footpaths and bridleways along which to walk or cycle, there are pretty chocolate-box villages like nearby Minster Lovell where many of the cottages retain their traditional thatched roofs. On the other end of the scale are places like Woodstock with a wide choice of great independent places to eat, drink and shop. Blenheim Palace is only a 20-minute drive from The Manor Wychwood, with its magnificent house and grounds that never fail to amaze with their opulence and beauty, while the shops, museums and ancient spires of Oxford are not much further. There are multiple golf courses in the area, as well as opportunities to sail and horse ride.
Cotswold attractions close to The Manor Wychwood include The Cotswold Wildlife Park, Cogges Manor Farm, Chedworth Manor and the only crocodile zoo in the UK, Crocodiles of the World. There is plenty of space at the house for guests to arrange on-site activities that can include everything from pottery workshops to pampering spa days, including cooking classes and dance workshops. The former barn dates back to early Victorian times and has been skilfully converted into a contemporary holiday home with spacious rooms and modern conveniences like ultra-fast WiFi and digitally controlled heating in every room.

Outside: A paved terrace is next to to the kitchen and dining room and has outdoor furniture and a charcoal-fired barbecue as well as an eight-person hot tub. There is a large flat expanse of lawn for ball games and other outdoor activities, with three further acres of parkland to enjoy. The house has a garage, as well as a games barn with cloak room and ample off-street parking on the driveway.
Additional Information: All utilities, WiFi, bed linen and bath towels are provided, with guests to provide a beach towel or robe to use with the hot tub. A cot and highchair are available on request - please let the owner know when booking. Short breaks are possible all year round. Well behaved dogs are welcome with prior agreement from the owner.
