The Manor Lodge is an impressive property with space for up to 26 guests to sleep in eight bedrooms. It is one of a collection of superb self-catering holiday properties on the Cotswold Manor Estate where guests can enjoy access to fantastic facilities that include 70 acres of beautiful parkland. Manor Lodge is close to the popular Lord Kitchener gastropub and restaurant, so a delicious meal or a pint in the sunny beer garden is within walking distance if you feel the urge.
The Cotswold Manor Estate is breathtaking in both scale and beauty. The 70 private acres contains nine other self-catering properties of various sizes, each furnished to a very high standard so that guests have everything for a memorable holiday at their fingertips. Houses on the scale of Manor Lodge can feel impersonal, but the owners of the Cotswold Manor Estate have created a warm, welcoming atmosphere where you can host a house party for all of your favourite people. The venue is ideal for relaxed weekends away with friends and special celebrations and can be booked with one or more of the other properties on the estate to accommodate larger groups.
The size of the estate means you do not even have to leave the grounds to have a fantastic stay. Laze in Manor Lodge's private garden, enjoying the peace as you soak in the hot tub or enjoy a barbecue in the sun, or work off a big meal with a walk around the parkland which features ponds, streams, a bluebell wood and an orchard. The size of the grounds means that you can arrange for activities like outdoor personal training sessions, zorbing, archery, laser clay shooting or a mini-Olympics, and the owner can help to put you in touch with local providers if you need assistance to organise this. If the weather is not playing ball, so to speak, then the indoor games barn is perfect, offering table tennis, air hockey and much more.
There is more to keep your guests happily occupied outside of the estate's walls. The beauty and charm of The Cotswolds are incredibly seductive, with visitors lured by the promise of beautiful countryside walks, picturesque towns and villages and a relaxed country atmosphere that is all within easy reach of London, the Midlands and the South East. The Cotswold Manor Estate is close to the pretty village of Bampton, possibly familiar to fans of Downton Abbey. As well as a small but well-stocked supermarket, the village has an excellent local butcher, antique centre and a lovely church.
Nearby attractions include Kelmscott Manor, Cogges Manor Farm, Blenheim Palace and The Cotswold Wildlife Park. Historic Oxford, with its magnificent university buildings and excellent shopping, is 20 miles away, and if you appreciate designer items at bargain prices, then spend a day at Bicester Village. The Cotswolds is unbelievably picturesque and dotted with postcard-perfect towns and villages such as Stow-on-the-Wold, Bourton-on-the-Water and the Slaughters.
Whether you are booking The Manor Lodge for a family celebration, a hen or stag weekend, or even a corporate team-building session, the high standard of accommodation and excellent facilities make it easy to arrange the perfect holiday in the Cotswolds.
