The Manor Court is the perfect venue for your group holiday or celebration. The elegant barn conversion comfortably accommodates 24 guests (or 30 with the additional of 4 full-size extra beds by arrangement) in ten bedrooms, with every consideration given to ensuring guests have everything they need for an enjoyable stay. There are eight other properties of varying sizes on The Cotswold Manor Estate, which can be booked together with the Manor Court to accommodate larger groups for events like a milestone occasion or reunion. Although the kitchen is well-equipped to cater for everyone, the house is only a mile from the Lord Kitchener gastropub which can happily provide food and drink in a great setting.
The Cotswolds has long been recognised as one of Britain's leading holiday destinations, and the Cotswold Manor Estate demonstrates why perfectly, with its 70-acres of parkland that include ponds and streams, bluebell woods, a fruit orchard and even a vineyard. The owners have created a wildlife walk from which you can spot owls, buzzards, ducks, herons and kingfishers. British weather is not always kind to outdoor activities, but that does not matter with the estate's fantastic Games Barn where guests can play pool, table tennis and air hockey, or create a game of your own using the sports equipment provided. The extensive grounds also lend themselves well to activities like laser clay pigeon shooting, archery or even an invigorating boot-camp training session!
Drag yourself away from the beautiful house and grounds, and you will discover the delightful eastern Cotswolds where there is an Instagram-worthy view around every corner. Fans of Downton Abby may recognise Church View and St Mary's Church in the nearby village of Bampton, which also has a fantastic local butcher who can tell you the provenance of every cut of locally-reared meat he sells, a small supermarket where you can top up the essentials like milk and bread, and an antique centre.
Just a short drive from the Cotswold Manor Estate are some favourite Cotswold attractions such as The Cotswold Wildlife Park, Kelmscott Manor and Cogges Manor Farm. The magnificence of Blenheim Palace and grounds will take your breath away, with the splendour of Sir Winston Churchill's birthplace being in sharp contrast to his modest family grave a mile away in the churchyard at Woodstock.
The ancient city of Oxford is under 20 miles from The Manor Court giving you the opportunity to happily gorge yourself on history, art and architecture, as well as excellent shopping and a lively calendar of entertainment. Alternatively, spend your days touring the Cotswolds and discovering the charm of picturesque market towns and villages like Stow-on-the-Wold, Upper and Lower Slaughter, Bourton on the Water and Chipping Norton.
Despite it's peaceful, rural setting, The Cotswold Manor Estate is simple to reach from the Midlands, south and south-east of England, making it an ideal venue for getting everyone together, regardless of where they live. The owners have taken great care to create a property that is relaxed and welcoming, combining original features with modern convenience to create a special place for your group holiday.
