Situated at the end of a country lane with no passing traffic, the cottage is a five-minute stroll from The Old Pub in Lower Withington. It is ideal for anything from a romantic long weekend to an extended holiday exploring the northwest. The location is only six miles from Alderley Park and convenient for the M6, so it's also perfect for visitors who want the comforts and privacy of a home away from home while in the area on business.
Lower Withington is a tiny village in a picturesque area. Despite a population of fewer than 500 people, it has a strong sense of community. It's wonderfully peaceful, so you'll love it if you're searching for an idyllic retreat full of scenic walks through fields and Swettenham Brook, followed by lazy lunches in country pubs. Nearby, stables offer horseriding and pony trekking, there is a local coarse fishing lake, and miles of cycle routes. If you want to combine country delights with shopping and theatres, you're only 24 miles south of Manchester and just over an hour from Liverpool. Knutsford and Holmes Chapel are closer, at seven and four miles respectively.
Local attractions include the Tudor Little Moreton Hall, a delight of decorative black and white timber surrounded by a moat.
