This former forestry cottage is situated on the outskirts of Fintry, a quiet rural village in the Campsie Fells.  It is an ideal base from which to explore Stirlingshire and the Western and Central Highlands of Scotland and is ideal for a holiday at any time of the year.  The cottage is semi-detached and is priced on the basis of two to five guests sharing, but it can accommodate six+ guests if children are in the party.

There are lots of different activities to suit all tastes and ages in this area of Scotland.  For those who enjoy walking and cycling, there are plenty of opportunities to explore the area on foot or bike.  The Loup of Fintry waterfall is just ten minutes down the road and not only does it make a lovely sight and ideal place to relax but it provides children (and adults feeling brave!) with great entertainment, jumping in.  Alternatively, five minutes up the road in the other direction is an entrance to the Carron Valley Forest which provides lovely walks and cycle routes around the Carron Valley Reservoir (bike hire is available).  The Trossachs and Loch Lomond are just a short distance away and provide enormous variety with Ben Lomond being a popular climb with superb views extending across much of the Southern Highlands. There are many less challenging but equally interesting walks throughout the area.

The ancient town of Stirling with its striking castle and the Wallace Monument is just twelve miles drive through beautiful countryside.  For those who want to venture a little further afield, the Cities of Edinburgh and Glasgow can be easily reached within one hour and provide much history, endless sightseeing opportunites, great shopping and a vast selection of places to eat.
